Haitian Sensation delay based adds input delay to keep you in sync. Rollback resets you in previous positions if desyncs happens to resync you. Rollback can be very complex and great or rather simple. When it’s very simple, it’s superior to delay in good connections, and worse than delay is poor connections. However when it’s well implemented it’s better than delay all the time bcs lack of input delay means you have more time to react to moves and rollbacks will only happen in the most atrocious of connections!!

@@haitiansensation4439 Delay slows down your button press. Whenever you press something the character will act later compared to offline. Rollback doesnt need delay BUT it can work alongside it and its benefitial. It focuses on predicting what buttons your are going to press and if it detecs that the button it predicted was wrong it will resimulate back to a different state to match your button press(like an emulator save state). The best is to have both systems working together. Delay to have less weird visual problems and rollback so that you can just play at the lower delay settings as rollback will cover the random moments that connection goes bad.

@@HadesHatredEdge combos are shorter though which is great imo, less combos simulator matches and more neutral/fundamental based games

This is normal for guilty gear series. Also, when life bar is going under 20% everyone will receive less damage(and I mean A LOT less).

Riahisama the combos aren’t that much shorter though. In rev2 you could extend it but the damage between an 8 hit combo compared to 14 wasn’t that different unless you were trying to break through guts. It was mainly about getting a hard knockdown to run more offense which this game definitely has. It looks like theirs room for combo variety in this game which is good it just seems more fair now when it happens.

Eh, they get old after a few uses and are highly impractical anyway. Fatalities are a preferable concept in that sense.

HighLanderPony your right but it’s a legacy thing and just adds more personality to the game. I hope they keep the quotes and banter like they did in xrd at the end of the round. Correct me if I’m wrong though.

Some of these explanations are going to get newbies killed. Vortex is death on block and you can easily punish Bandit Bringer. They're setting up newbies to fail.

@@HadesHatredEdge Sure, maybe some of these tips could be improved. As more gets known about the game, it's likely people will put out more comprehensive guides. On one hand, you don't want to teach people bad habits. On the other hand, you don't want to overload them with lots of technical stuff right from the start.

The middle part of the ui looks like rock, and we can actually see burst meter, but the burst mater and ho itself arent giving me that rock n roll feel like xrd

I actually like it being underneath. I don't want to look above my health for the burst. It's underneath my health bar which in turn is closer to the action so we don't have to look too far above.

It's a step on the right direction aesthetically but still has some of the problems that the previous UI had design wise. Hopefully they'll build upon it.

It's still better than previous. I don't mind following it now since it's instant. Before, it had a delay where it took 2-3 seconds to follow the HP and you really don't want actively adjusting UI.

That and add a little more of the black detailing.

I like how you you lose hearts instead of gaining points in the UI ngl

And make Burst and tension meters bigger. You can hardly see either of them.

If the hp color scheme gonna be black and grey that would be pretty cool imo, also match the new aesthetic they add in

The ui change is great. but there's still something about the hp bar and some of the style (like the "combo beat" font) that still feels off to me

It seems like bandit bringer being a seperate input while being air okay is it's replacement. Since it has the same input. Seems like it'll have better use for sols agressive playstyle.

@@MrCowman57 not sure how much more it could be extended with the wallbreak mechanic. Both j.D caused wall damage here. Assuming the BB added another hit to the wall, there's only room for one more hit after that to cause the wall to break

alexj0101 I honestly think this one might be a little easier to get into if your trying to take it seriously. I hope the tutorials get you to invest some time in it, I thought xrds tutorial was incredibly good and gave me a really good start. all of the other games are lot of fun and this one is looking to be no different.

His damage is too high for how easy it is. I'm cool with shorter combos but the reward is too high. Fafnir combos into Vortex which can lead into 50% easily. That's insane even compared to Xrd.

It makes no sense now. Before, wild throw gave you opportunity to do a combo, which means wild throw would lead to high damage ONLY if you could follow it up with a high damage combo. The damage was a reward for your skill. Now you just run up, do the input for it and take away 40% of opponent's health???

I wonder if it is still just a placeholder. It looks similar to the builds from months ago and they stated it was not final.
