He seems like an awesome rush down character. I'd like to see some Sol match-ups with him.

It even seems like he does the Slayer pose when he's defeated, where he clearly isn't taking the fight seriously at all.

It's actually a famous and old japanese painting. The giant skeleton in it is called an Gashadokuro.

It's a giant skeleton made from the bones of people who have died of hunger during times of war. It's also Invincible, invisible and the only way to know its here is the funeral bell sound that accompanies it at all times

I'm thinking fights with Nagoriyuki probably need to be really quick. He needs to win fast so the damage of his own blood rage doesn't screw him over, the enemy needs to win fast to avoid getting hit by the zansetsu train

... with 50 meter. I gotchu. But yeah, the blood rage state is actually a sick mechanic to play around with. If you activate it while trying to pressure and then they reverse the situation before you can take advantage you're screwed though lol. Definitely have to be careful, but the reward is WELL worth the risk which is why it's so cool.

@@GriFFonRec4 i dont think the hp loss is worth it- it looks like 2/3 his hp over the duration. The range doesnt seem worth it- maybe if it was 1/3 but 2/3 means you get comboed once and you die

@@wolflance64 he has no meterless reversal, no air dash and is slow. If you look at it all he has is mixup, pressure and range, he is straight up high risk high reward. It’s pretty obvious that chipp, millia and axl are gonna destroy him easy in the matchup and I use all 3 characters, on top of this damn near everything he does fills that blood meter so it makes his command grab telegraphed as you straight up know what a nago will think to do based on the meter. So yes if I bring out my chipp or millia im clapping this man with high speed frame traps and mix and there’s nothing he can do.

The thing is that he's really punishable during the activation, and doesn't activate at will, so you really aren't in a winning situation if the Blood gauge fills up when you don't want to.

Lots of people are just presuming and assuming, not being even able to wait until beta to actually test out and see what could happen; But this is how the world works I suppose

Either way, here are the aswers: About him being nuts: Being nuts doesn't necessarily mean he's going to be top tier. He's probably not bad by the looks of every character guide and the videos we already have, we already saw him doing lot's of cool combos. But even if he ends up as a Low Tier. His gameplay will still be nuts. He has incredible damage, lot's of rekkas and blood rage. And if you're talking about the fact I want to main him: Honestly, I main characters because they look cool, and have interesting playstiles. It's the same for lot's of people. He's a Vampire Samurai. I was already thinking about maining him just by that fact. I love A.B.A in AC+R, because of Moroha Mode. Bloodrage mode is different than Moroha mode, yes, I know. But some of the same "mode change" concepts apply for Nagoriyuki as well. And after watching this video, honestly, Zansetsu looks like the coolest move I've seen so far in this game. It's an interesting way to get out of bloodrage and with some mindgames/reads you'll be able to either get out of the mode doing A LOT of damage or even win the round with this move. All the animations Nagoriyuki have are amazing looking, the way he puts back his mask after bloodrage ends/zansetsu is so cool. I really liked this character. The way he looks, the way he's animated, his moveset. Everything.

@@iDrKx I got you, I've been in the trenches defending the comment sections but people see 1 video of Giovanna and they think she's trash tier when she was CLEARLY not playing to her full potential. There is already leak gameplay which turned that on it's head, but I imagine when the guide comes out it'll dispel a lot of the "looks boring" too. Same thing with Ramlethal, although her guide came out, they didn't go into tech or her game plan or anything so people see she's weakened without her swords and they think she's trash tier, even though her sword normals are GOD tier in this game and shooting her swords in the corner applies a ton of pressure and you can pick them up for free. The video kept mentioning that her moves have less range without her swords but downplay how much pressure she applies in the corner when she shoots them and it's only doom and gloom for the people who haven't tested her yet and haven't even tried to come up with strategies on how to MAKE her good.

Yeah, Nagoriyuki's name literally translates to "lingering snow" in Japanese. Nagori yuki is the name of a popular Japanese song from 1974. It's not very metal its just a reference.

If there's a way to keep a combo up in the transition between the two (which would be super broken, so I doubt it) then you could spam specials and end with doing about half of the opponents life. I doubt that that is possible, but it makes me super hyped for the beta.

@@I39393I Yeah, it requires both tension and bloodrage, but I fail to see how it would make it impossible if it's possible to keep a combo going while Nagoriyuki switches states. Again, I doubt it's possible to keep a combo while switching states, except in the corner (maybe), but I can dream can't I?

@OUTLAW By Blood, NOT Relation Yeah, I know that the state isn't great for combos, but Zansetsu looks amazing, so what if you could start blood rage, RC out of it or have your opponent wall-splatted so they can't escape, then hit them with the Zansetsu to stop blood rage and do a lot of damage.

I want all health bars in fighting games to be measured on the Chipp scale system

Chipp takes 30% increased damage. Raw Zansetsu did ~45-50% of Giovanna's life, so assuming Giovanna has 100% defense, one Zansetsu does 50-65% of his lifebar.

@@secdeal That's what ASW does with all their vampires. Rachel in BB also cannot be KO'd like Nagoriyuki and Slayer. Nagoriyuki also rises from a hard knockdown like a vampire.

I doubt the switch could run this at 60 fps with the hardware being weaker than the ps4 especially when undocked. PC probably your best bet

@@sefatsilverlake3816 It's a saying and it's like other 4-character sayings comes more or less from Chinese. Haiku is originated in Japan as a form of poem. I like their choice of making him a bit more rough--Haiku has more of a artistic feeling to it and doesn't suit him as much.
