She looks great and pretty different from every other character we've seen so far. Also doesn't hurt that this song is SO different from the rest of the soundtrack. Makes me feel like she'll have a "smoother" vibe from the rest of the roster. Could be wrong, but either way this song bops and Giovanna looks rad.

The singing style itself is the opposite of smooth, it only seems so because similar things were in "smooth music culture" so our brains associate, the guitar however is indeed smooth.

Guilty Gear in general just does that a whole lot. In the same way Berserk is a Japanese artist's take on western dark fantasy, this is a Japanese artist's take on the western heavy metal aesthetic, and I've always dug the hell out of it.

Crazy Edd I got King vibes cause of the kicks and her overall look with some flared pants and white bar tender top that feels more Italian for some reason. The wolf spirit enhancing that shit is just icing on top and makes her feel like an alternative to Milia with the angles you seem to be able to do with her and the air time.

Well since the pandemic found myself with a bit some time on my hands, went into the emulation rabbit hole and found Guilty gear, play it, fell in love, then procced to jump to steam and spend like 100 bucks on a sale weekend and now I have most games of this company, haven't even finished with the story of SIGN and Revelator but cant wait to give them my money when Strive is out and available on steam!! cant wait!

I just wanna say it’s really clever that the devs made Giovanna specifically a beginner-friendly character and made doing extra damage for having high tension her gimmick, since new players generally don’t spend meter as much, especially on stuff outside of supers.

She's glowing green at 1:00. I think it would be like millia's special or sol's dragon install. And I really wonder, what would be her role on the story. She might have that power through ki, supposedly rare on their world. Considering her skin tone, she could also be a foreigner brought by chipp (as far as I remember chipp is also a foreigner/wannabe ninja and herd skin tone as well as her strange ability says it all), she could also be the other new characters relative or lover or something

So they revealed that she is the President of the United States Body Guard. The wolf she has is a spirit named Rei and the wolf gives her a boost in speed and power. Either way I think this is a fantastic new addition to GGS and I cannot wait to play around with her mechanics!

Quaza Even if they’re samurai, they all play differently. That’s what matters. Tadayoriki looks a lot more rushdown and aggressive than Baiken. Baiken usually relies on her tools to poke and ounish people for being too aggressive. Idk about Anji though

Guilty gear has some of the most unique characters ever. Milia fights with shape-shifting hair, Zato fights with some demonic entity, nago is a vampire samurai (with dreads!), Sol's sword is just ridiculous, fucking bedman, and now this noir detective looking chick with a wolf spirit. I love this crazy shit
