I did something similar when I bonded my 2 herds of 4 to make one herd of 8. I had made the bonding pen a 5x3 and it was success. I'll be doing something like this again in a few months after I move to the new place when I try the herd of 8 with my trio to make a herd of 11.

Every time I put my 2 boys together they hump the entire time they spray each other I have to bath them and put them back into their separate cages if they see each other from distance they one starts eating the cage bar chew it and shake the cage it's way to crazy im happy urs was successful
This is very very normal behavior! Humping happens all the time even in bonded pairs. If you’re going to seriously attempt bonding them I would not separate unless there is a serious injury

I did see blood but the humping is excessive like entire time I have another boy but I cant bond him with neither of them because he's so small for his age he got hurt because of the same situation of the humping so I have 3 pigs and they all live alone cause nobody wants to get along 💔

Thank you! Those are kiln dried pine pellets from tractor supply! I do like to cover them with a layer of hay though since they can be tough on the feet
Hi autumn! I am getting a baby Guinea pig this weekend I already have two sisters but I was wondering I am a very heavy sleeper and my dog thinks the pigs are treats. I was wondering if I could possibly put them in the cage overnight if there not being aggressive I’m trying to learn a lot about bonding. 🖤
@The Pig Room sorry I did like your channel at first. But the more you rescued pigs the more you got judgmental. And I understand. People suck. But you got so aggressive in your statements. Friends I tried to send to your channel wouldn't stay because they claimed you made them feel dumb. I've rescued over 70 animals by myself and I've learned that I don't know everything. And even if I don't agree with someone's care it doesn't matter, as long as the animal has vet care and love.
Hey! For boys usually pairs are recommended. For trios or herds of males to work you really need to have very calm and agreeable pigs, which isn’t the majority of males. If you attempt to bond a third and it doesn’t work, you could potentially break the bond of the first two and end up with three singles. Personally, I’d recommend leaving them as a pair but if you attempt a trio just make sure you know the risks!
