With just a little bit of theory, one can predict chords that are in a certain key. Here, I focus not on keys and sharps and flats, but rather patterns as they appear on the guitar.
Chords in a major key are mainly I, ii, iii, IV, V and vi, where upper case Roman numerals are major chords, and lower case are minor chords.
Also included here are chords of bIII, bVI and bVII (flattened third, flattened sixth and flattened seventh), which are sometimes encountered.
