This version is so much easier for me as a beginner but also being a fan & only version I knew for most of my life. I'm gonna have this song down by the next time my band mate who plays guitar comes to jam,i usually play drums.

If you were referring to The Ramones covering The Searchers version of this song, be aware that The Searchers covered it from Jackie DeShannon, who co-wrote the song and recorded it before The Searchers -- and several other bands -- did. So ... a cover of a cover of a cover (at least) and maybe more..
@@SpiffEatWorld Same thing with the Ramones version of California Sun, originally done as a ballad I believe in 1960 ( forgot artist) and then the classic Riviera’s version followed a bit later (1964 ?)
