Cult of Personality - Living Colour -400 from true optimal, which includes a triple squeeze in the solo and an insane 2nd activation. Happy with this score.
I remember playing this at Chuck-E-Cheese before they removed the game from the place, I played it on Expert like usual and I had a small group of 3 dads watching me
me and my older brother went to Dave and busters in 2019 first time I went there and there are 2 things I will always remember about that place 1 they had a guitar hero arcade machine that me and my older brother played against each other on and 2 how loud it was in that place while jamming with the guitars it was awesome!
@@olivierrodriguesneto5995 According to GH wiki, they couldn't find the original 1988 master so Living Colour recorded it again in 2007 with the new solo.
@Mattdude411 I never knew that. I haven't played this game in 10 years. The last time I played it was on my ps2 with a pretty old TV where you couldn't plug in all the yv cables to the TV. I just assumed it sounded different because of that.😊
Something I saw on another video (for Rocksmith) is that the guitarist has a jazz background so he tends to improv the solo during live performances so it sounds different each time.
Played it on expert the other night and absolutely blew away the guy behind me despite only hitting 91% of it. I guess the thing about GH is that it just looks impressive no matter how good you actually are
I specifically remember trying this exact song out at an arcade once and the game was so unbelievably uncalibrated (with how the notes appear vs when you should strum) that it was completely unplayable. Luckily noone was watching the shitshow that ensued. I lost all trust in those arcade cabinets then.
3:02 - 3:58 This... this is the sole reason I was stuck on this song for almost an hour lol. Jokes aside, def one of the most fun and best songs to play in gh
@@JG-tr8ph UFC is fixed like pride, all the sports that involve some form of combat have some level of fix, get over yourselves and just enjoy the songs.
I remember as a kid this used to be one of the hardest things ever in Guitar Hero. Even on Hard difficulty, not just Expert. But now many years later, just a few months ago I have finally FC'd this on Expert.
Guitar Hero helped me put in perspective how really complex these songs were on guitar. I love this song in particular because Vernon Reid doesn’t get enough credit for this solo!
Randomly decided to put this song on and seen your comment, soon as I clicked “NEOON LIIIGHTS, NOBLE PRIZE…” I stay singing this part all the time, shit goes hard
Look in my eyes, what do you see? The cult of personality I know your anger, I know your dreams I've been everything you want to be I'm the cult of personality Like Mussolini and Kennedy I'm the cult of personality The cult of personality The cult of personality Neon lights, a Nobel Prize Then a mirror speaks, the reflection lies You don't have to follow me Only you can set me free I sell the things you need to be I'm the smiling face on your T.V. I'm the cult of personality I exploit you still you love me I tell you one and one makes three I'm the cult of personality Like Joseph Stalin and Gandhi I'm the cult of personality The cult of personality The cult of personality Neon lights a Nobel Prize A leader speaks, that leader dies You don't have to follow me Only you can set you free You gave me fortune You gave me fame You gave me power in your own god's name I'm every person you need to be Oh, I'm the cult of personality I'm the cult of, I'm the cult of, I'm the cult of, I'm the cult of I'm the cult of, I'm the cult of, I'm the cult of, I'm the cult of personality
I remember thinking this song was hard, then i fced it. then i fced it at 125, then 140, then 150. now i love playing it at public arcades and stunning everyone by just doing 100. so much fun and nostalgia
“Cult of Personality, Operation ground and pound and Devil went down to Georgia” were always on the list when I used to battle players online. Miss those days.
I’ve been wanting to go to Dave and Busters just to play guitar hero lol. I’m kind of upset we are still on lockdown, and places like Dave and Busters probably won’t be open until next year 😔😔
first time I heard this song was actually from CM Punk. When I went to arcade and play GH3 I was so surprised that they had Cult of Personality in the game. And guess what, I dunno if my memories were bad or something but when I re-played GTA SA in college, they had this too!
Guitar Hero: Smash Hits, Rock Band 3 (as part of the Rock Band Blitz (RBB) export) and Guitar Hero Live also have this song as well, despite the latter two using the 1988 original, while the formermost, along with this game (Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock), uses the 2007 re-recorded version of it, yo
I’m currently stuck at this song in my attempt to complete the Career mode in Guitar Hero 3. I’m not talking about FC. I can’t even survive the song! The solo is too tough for me. But I’ll practice some more and try again tomorrow.
I went to an arcade today, and I met this girl. We talked and we were getting along rlly well, we played this together at the arcade before I left… I’m inlove with her already.
@@lenose_95969 im doing great, i’m not rlly sure abt her cause it’s been a while since i talked to her. i got her snap and we talked for a bit but then it kinda fell off, we both had rlly busy lives and we lived about an hour away from each other so i kinda expected it, but she was very kind and sweet to me and i won’t ever forget that moment!
Yeah I remember playing guitar hero at Chuck e cheese can't remember what song It was but everyone was watching me and they were impressed they're like omg look at this kid shredding on guitar hero
Dude I noticed he hit the whammy on the long notes in the middle of the solo this is the comment I was looking for. We only did that when we had the utmost confidence
