Recommendations would come from magazines like Guitar for the practicing Musician guitar World .Varney also put out a blues and tone label that had The Blind side blues band Tony spinner tone label Cintriniti and other fusion super groups. I recommend people watch the entirety of Yngwie's performance in the full concert video "Alcatrazz: Metallic Live '85", to see just how much he was on another level, even amongst his peers. Wonderful melodic solo'ing, stunning and revolutionary technical virtuosity, and the most incredible, violin-like vibrato. A few of the standout tracks (although they are all great) are the entirety of "Kree Nakoorie" including the extended solo (of which a small part is featured in the above video clip), "Evil Eye", "Suffer Me", and "Lost in Hollywood". Loved early Yngwie. A true innovator and breath of fresh air to set the standard for the shred movement. Sadly I feel he's stagnated and I got bored around 2000 War to End all Wars. Of all in that list the most underrated and who should have had a bigger career was Jake E Lee. Got shafted by Ozzy's witch Sharon and never really recovered. Not a great Ozzy fan but love The Ultimate Sin because of Jake's playing

What a great list my man! Definitely would like to see a part 2. What a time to be alive and a metalhead. 1983 was when I fist started playing guitar and so many great influences. In part 2 see if you can do some duo’s - Smith and Murray, Downing and Tipton, Denner and Shermann, etc. That would be awesome. Keep up the great work. You understand Metal brother!

Awesome bro! Of course you put Yngwie 1st instead of Rhoads, but I totally understand where you are coming from. It's the sane reason why I'd always put Rhoads 1st in this caragory. 🤘 I was hoping you would have dug deep and I was not left wanting. You also managed to put Jake E Lee, George Lynch, Warren DeMartine & the dude from Loudness in here. Superb! Can't wait for number II with Vivian Campbell, Dave Murray & Adrian Smith. Please note that I don't remember how to spell most of their names correctly and I'm not going to pause your video to jot them diown, BUT I can name 'em on sight, sound, or what band(s) they've played in. Thank you Suicidal 4 Life 🤘☮️✌️
