Gulab Jamun is one of the sweet that you can prepare for almost any occasions. When you make gulab jamun you need to wait for at least 8 to 10 hours for all the syrup to get absorbed in jamuns.

Ingredient list
For Sugar Syrup
1 1/2 cup Sugar
1 cup Water
1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
1 tsp Lemon Juice
2 drops of Rose Essence
For Gulab Jamuns
1/2 cup non fat Milk Powder
1 tbsp Clarified Butter / Desi Ghee
1 tbsp fine sooji
1 tbsp Maida
2 tbsp Milk + 2 tsp if needed
1/4 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Lemon Juice

I have tried gulab jamuns a million times n failed more so often....and finally ur recipe has done the trick for me...never have I come across adding sooji in this recipe...but I guess ur right in saying that it absorbs the excess moisture....Thank u so so much....I have even tried most of ur diwali specials and they have all worked out wonderfully....please keep posting more recipes.....Thank u once again...

Will surely try this recipe and we used to get the canned ones, as I was unable to find khoya here at the Indian store , thanks dear for such a wonderful recipe which does not make use of khoya ... :)
