Oh nice ! It will actually be really easy. You just need to plant some native flowers that butterflies like. They will come eventually for the plant. But they stay for the environment. So my biggest recommendation would be plant some , Sage , bee balm, and Mexican sunflowers in the garden area. They will come quick. Also try a native passion fruit :) Cali had many native varieties. I personally do not let more then 5% of my plants be non native
