In today’s episode, we delve into the specific benefits available to Gulf War Veterans suffering from Gulf War Illness (GWI). GWI encompasses a range of chronic symptoms that defy conventional medical explanation.
Key Information:
1. Eligibility: Veterans who served in the Gulf War on or after August 2, 1990, may be eligible for disability compensation for symptoms of GWI.
2. Symptoms Covered: These include but are not limited to memory impairment, respiratory issues, joint pain, insomnia, headaches, fatigue, and skin disorders.
3. Diagnosis: Chronic symptoms like irritable bowel syndrome, PTSD, and other functional gastrointestinal disorders are considered under GWI.
