Gulley tidy up and crushing the Stihl MS462CM with a tree - 2023 #08
In this video I'm working in the gulley, moving logs from below the dam to the landing area.
Once that’s done, I continue the clean up and drop a huge dead tree - straight onto the MS462 CM 😢
Making progress, one crushed saw at a time .....

Chris. The cost hurts, but on the bright side, it happened to the saw and not you. I am sure the wife will agree i know mine would.. Merry Christmas from your extended RU-vid family. 🎄😁👍

It was a bad day. Still too soon for jokes. 😢 …… well maybe one or two jokes will be ok. I should have tried to sell it as a rare, one off, light weight short handle

Bummer. Stuff happens. Better the saw than you. That’s what happened to my “High Mileage” 261’s handle. Take care Chris!👍🏻

So true, not rushing back in was the right thing to do, but i shouldn’t have left it in the first place though. My handle fix was really easy, I was surprised how easy it was, I have a crack in the casing which doesn’t seem to affect anything and will be an expensive fix, so I’ll just keep an eye on it. Hi, Gringo, swapping the handle / fuel tank is actually really easy, it looks like a difficult job and the shop wanted to charge a days labour, but I got it done myself. There is a crack in a casing that hasn’t been fixed, it doesn’t seem to have affected things,I’ll just keep an eye on it. Stay warm and enjoy Xmas.
