I love the description of the music. Honestly one of my favorite things Kirkhope did was having very slight variations on one melody for the level, giving each section a different feel with the same overall tone. This same thing is a bit more dramatic in Banjo-Tooie
I read that entire description in an Egoraptor Sequelitis voice. But still, great YTPMV. I've been waiting for this one to get posted, and hell. It was worth the weight.
OMFG, thankyou SgtScrubnoob, this is my favourite song on the game and when i saw your video's i was always looking forward to see this being uploaded :D
this is great i just got done with banjo Kazooie just stopped on this level cause i was a little tired and when i went on the original Gobi Valley's theme then i saw this video and was amazed love it!
@LassesIndex Actually, it doesn't repeat at all. The song itself really is just that repetitive, which is why I was kinda hesitant to do this one because being how it's structured, the comments are inevitably going say it gets kinda boring. It's understandable that people who haven't played the game or didn't know the song beforehand would find this one boring or repetitive, but for sake of those who DID play the game / know this song by heart I didn't dare shorten the original song.
Me, I love it. Banjo-Kazooie is one of my favorite games of all time and I love these remixes you do. They're great. Now I have to replay it though because memories.
lol this caught me off guard. I was expecting a Click Click Wood or Grunty's Lair YTPMV, but this was way more than satisfying. AND IT'S NOT REPETITIVE Y U SAY DAT!?
2 Things, 1: SgtScrub, Your work is absolutely amazing. I check most of your songs to get see how close you come to the true game music (Banjo & Kazooie being one of my all time favorites) and you come extremely close to being right on the dot, close enough to what I call perfection 2: Ursa minor skin Banjo, with a scootaloo Kazooie. That or Pinkie dressed up as a chicken Kazooie. If it can be ponies it shall be! oh yeah, and if TL;DR LIKE FOR EQUESTRIA DAILY FOR BRINGING US HERE
HOLY SHIT! THIS IS AMAZING!! Banjo Kazooie is one of the best games with some of the best music, and this video just made it even better! I think its time to do a play through of that game again, and I will enjoy every second of it! ^_^
Rare Ware mentioned they'd like to make another Banjo Kazooie. Here's hoping they're making it now and making it the way it was back in its N64 days. They even liked someone's YTPMV called Freezeezy Pony enough to say they might make an MLP video game. I'm sure brownies will appreciate that.
I think the honeycomb vis is a nice touch, and those simple little movements swaying makes it pretty neat. Though gotta agree with Xar about it being a bit repetitive, but it does sound good (though I should expect that because yeah). Also damn that tl;dr description, I remember when I made one of those but never did I make one again lol
@Naeneko77Inikina The guy who made the YTPMV Freezeezy Pony posted a video saying a guy from Rare Ware saying his boss liked it and that they might make an MLP videotape after they finish the next Banjo Kazooie or something to that effect. It was a while ago so I don't remember exactly. If you search Freezeezy Pony you might find the video about the comment on the maker's channel.
Dear Princess Celestia.... it's the 28th day I've been in the desert, and I still can't open the goddamn door in the mountainside. Please send help. Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle.
It's official, Banjo-Kazooie needs a hacked mod where you get to run around as Pinkie Pie with gummy as your trusty sidekick and companion! Who's with me!?
heh, I loved this level... er, I still love it... in fact, I still have the game... and it comes out you're a heck of a lot better of a flier than I am! lol.
And if you'll notice in the background, you'll see that a door in the cliffside of Gobi's Valley that is normally closed is now open. XBLA version, I assume?
@MrXarlable ehh, the song itself is preetttyyy repetitive and being that, after a certain point into this project, vegas was just having a really hard time with adding new visuals, I just did what I could with what I already had. As for the samples, I actually had the audio for this done about 3 months ago, which I started working on about 5 months ago so when I started I just used whatever samples I had at the time that best replicated the instruments used in the song.
It can still be opened in the Nintendo 64 version using the secret code in Treasure Trove Cove's sand castle (You have to look up the code its LONG). But yeah this is the XBLA version. :P
@BeSharpSeeFlat the thing about @MrXarlable is, although he's a REALLY tough critic, he does make a valid point. Dude nothing you ever make is gonna be 100% perfect, even if it's just vegas' fault. What Xarlable does is point out flaws so that you can correct them and make better videos (even if it makes you feel like you're a shit ytpmver at times), thus making it thaaaat much closer to being "perfect." He's not of ill-intent or anything, he just wants everyone to become better.
How did I not see this video yet? I've seen many of your other ytpmvs, including "Rusty Bucket Neigh" (good joke, eh? remember me?... I thought it was funny at the time.. >.>) Anyway... but yeah this is really good. One of my favorite zones in Banjo Kazooie.
@ThisJustOne i cant say the game is neither good or bad but i'll find a ROM for it and see how fun Banjo Kazooie really is. I'm really into Adventure games like this so who knows, i might get addicted to it.
@Thund3rhead You know, you wouldn't rip on a musician for using the same guitar 3 times.... if a sample does a good job of replicating the sound of the instrument it's covering, I'm gonna use it. Sound design takes priority over originality imo.
