Ive heard an AR stands 8 ft tall, can shite lightning, and shoot fireballs from its eyes.

“You don’t need an AR-15 for self defense.” That myth is one of the biggest imo. Easy rebuttal: crimes (especially home invasions) are constantly committed by more than one person. Those extra rounds could definitely be needed depending on the threat.

Myth: The AR-15 has a button to make it shoot “fully semi-automatic”.

Hey Mike, I learned from a politician that if you hunt with tracers you will never miss because they are "heat seeking." I surprised that was never mentioned in this video. (sarcasm)

The media: The AR -15 isn’t powerful enough for hunting! Also the media: the AR-15 is a high powered rifle and should be banned.... 🤷🏻‍♂️

"An AR-15 isn't good for hunting." Tell that to the hog I killed with my AR-15 last year. And I did it with m855 ball ammo, which is probably the worst hunting round ever made.

You forgot that this ghost gun can empty a 30 round “clip” in half a second.

My Mark 12 Mod 0 5.56 upper is equipped with a 18" Douglas 416 stainless steel barrel 1-7 twist , shoots sub MOA all day long with Iron sights! Love Douglas Barrels for rifle builds!

Tip: rest a 20 rd. magazine (prone) on a sandbag. When we qualified at Bragg /Butner we did this . Worked !! 🎯 👍

As a Marine '81-'85, one of the combat vets in 1/1 would call the M16A1 'The Matell Toy", or "The Plastic Gun" while comparing it to the M14 or M1. Matell did make the Delta handgards for it to be fair to the veteran. Between the A1 and A2 I shot expert 5 times in a row on qual day once a year. The iron front sight post covered the whole target at 500 meters so I am happy with my EOtech and magnifier on my AR15 shooting 3/8" groups at 100 yards. America's Rifle! Hell ya.

Speaking of the power of the 5.56/.223 my fiancé uses a .223 hunting rifle for deer and I’ve said to her about upgrading because it doesn’t have the stopping power of other rounds but this past year she dropped a deer with one round through the heart split the heart directly in half and it died before it hit the ground so without a doubt the 5.56/.223 can be used effectively for killing larger game with correct shot placement just like these guys are saying in this video. Well said guys thanks for the content. 💯

I wanted an AR for many years and just couldn't afford one. I was blessed with a good job recently, put my first AR in layaway, payed it out, and after shooting less than one mag I'm already building my second one 🤣. They're like crack. So many upper, lower, caliber, and accessory combinations, it's unreal. I love ARs!

First AR I bought back in the day was a Del-Ton DT Sport Lite and that thing is still throwing lead and I barely ever clean it at all. Looking back now that I am much more into the platform, that thing has operated phenomenally for its price point at the time.

Thanks Eric and Mike for making this video. I love my BCM Recce 16, and also deer hunt with it. Ammo is right and shot placement is right you can bring home the meat. Guys have a good one.

The vaporizing pumpkins are also many times filled with other substances to make them a more energetic target. Filling them with fluids to increase hydraulic pressures for instances. Tannerite and even the modern equivalents of dynamite have been used to get a more visual effect in videos as well, usually to fool the unknowing non gun owners.

You are spot on when it comes to upgrading...I have a Ruger AR556 with a WMD nickel boron BCG as its only upgrade. 300 round range sessions and never an issue.

Also loving the fact that you guys continue to show love to the Smith & Wesson M&P Sport II AR. I have one, and it's pretty rad. Accurate, and probably my favorite rifle out of the rifles I own.

Regarding the issues in Vietnam Colt had hyped up the gun as "self-cleaning" and the military believed them when they bought them, which is why they didn't issue cleaning kits at first. They quickly found that wasn't true, which issue was exasperated by the military using different ammo than what Colt had specified without testing the change. They subsequently issued cleaning kits and changed the ammo and the guns then performed for the rest of the conflict. Every attempt to replace the AR in military service since then has failed as every design tested hasn't been better. Except the Marines which are currently transitioning to the HK 416, a piston AR that is more than 90% compatible with standard AR parts.

Just took down a big 8 point whitetail last week with my BCM 16” middy. I’ve killed lots of deer in my life, and this hit the deck just as good as they do with my 300 win mag. Myth busted.

How about a couple more AR myths: “AR-15’s look evil and scary.” Well guess what, the AR looks are no different than pretty much any gun in general, and AR’s are actually simple and beautiful guns for almost any application. “AR-15’s are complicated to maintain.” Well guess what, AR-15’s are actually simple to use and maintain. For instance, even a first time gun owner can start with an AR.

In love my M&P 15, it will eat steel all day long!!!!

My AR is in 7.62x39. Aero Precision lower with a BCA rifle length upper. I added a nickel boron bcg and enhanced firing pin. Has never failed to go boom. It's scoped and if I do my job right it'll do clover leafs at 100 yds with the Hornady Black ammo. Very pleased with it.

The American Bill of rights is to DIE FOR! No one in the world is as free as an American citizen. Never, ever, give it up! It kills me to hear people call the AR a "high powered rifle", honestly in terms of rifle cartridges the 556 is actually pretty low powered

The Army standard for the M4 is 4cm (roughly 1.5 inches) at 25 meters. If you think about it, that's about 5-3/4 MOA! Quick math: 25m = 27.3403yd 100yd / 27.3403yd = 3.657 4cm = 1.574in 1.574in(at 25m) x 3.657 = 5.756in at 100yd = 5.756 MOA If you can shoot 5-3/4 MOA or better in the "prone-supported" position, you meet the U.S. Army standard for M4.

Nice video. Nothing better than cross over with great hosts. I have many ARs in PCC and rifle rounds. You guys just convinced me to build a 9x39 in a 6” barrel and use my 45 Omega 45K with 3 lug adapter.

Bought my first AR15 about 6 yrs ago, have 3 now. Love the platform and cartridge. My go to firearm for hunting and protection.

I dog your channel even tho I may not agree with everything. Its still a base of information to make calculated decisions about firearms and firearm related items. Gun control is about racism and slavery This Patriotic Veteran approves this mesg Gun deaths There are 30,000 gun related deaths per year by firearms, and this number is not disputed. The U.S. population is 324,059,091 as of June 22, 2016. Do the math: 0.00925% of the population dies from gun related actions each year. Statistically speaking, this is insignificant! What is never told, however, is a breakdown of those 30,000 deaths, to put them in perspective as compared to other causes of death: • 65% of those deaths are by suicide, which would never be prevented by gun laws. • 15% are by law enforcement in the line of duty and justified. • 17% are through criminal activity, gang and drug related or mentally ill persons - better known as gun violence. • 3% are accidental discharge deaths. So technically, "gun violence" is not 30,000 annually, but drops to 5,100. Still too many? Now lets look at how those deaths spanned across the nation. • 480 homicides (9.4%) were in Chicago • 344 homicides (6.7%) were in Baltimore • 333 homicides (6.5%) were in Detroit • 119 homicides (2.3%) were in Washington D.C. (a 54% increase over prior years) So basically, 25% of all gun crime happens in just 4 cities. All 4 of those cities have strict gun laws, so it is not the lack of law that is the root cause. This basically leaves 3,825 for the entire rest of the nation, or about 75 deaths per state. That is an average because some States have much higher rates than others. For example, California had 1,169 and Alabama had 1. Now, who has the strictest gun laws by far? California, of course, but understand, it is not guns causing this. It is a crime rate spawned by the number of criminal persons residing in those cities and states. So if all cities and states are not created equal, then there must be something other than the tool causing the gun deaths. Are 5,100 deaths per year horrific? How about in comparison to other deaths? All death is sad and especially so when it is in the commission of a crime but that is the nature of crime. Robbery, death, rape, assault are all done by criminals. It is ludicrous to think that criminals will obey laws. That is why they are called criminals. But what about other deaths each year? • 40,000+ die from a drug overdose-THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THAT! • 36,000 people die per year from the flu, far exceeding the criminal gun deaths. • 34,000 people die per year in traffic fatalities(exceeding gun deaths even if you include suicide). Now it gets good: • 200,000+ people die each year (and growing) from preventable medical errors. You are safer walking in the worst areas of Chicago than you are when you are in a hospital! • 710,000 people die per year from heart disease. It’s time to stop the double cheeseburgers! So what is the point? If the liberal loons and the anti-gun movement focused their attention on heart disease, even a 10% decrease in cardiac deaths would save twice the number of lives annually of all gun-related deaths (including suicide, law enforcement, etc.). A 10% reduction in medical errors would be 66% of the total number of gun deaths or 4 times the number of criminal homicides ................ Simple, easily preventable 10% reductions! So you have to ask yourself, in the grand scheme of things, why the focus on guns? It's pretty simple: Taking away guns gives control to governments. The founders of this nation knew that regardless of the form of government, those in power may become corrupt and seek to rule as the British did by trying to disarm the populace of the colonies. It is not difficult to understand that a disarmed populace is a controlled populace. Thus, the second amendment was proudly and boldly included in the U.S. Constitution. It must be preserved at all costs. So the next time someone tries to tell you that gun control is about saving lives, look at these facts and remember these words from Noah Webster: "Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed." What ever happen to up hold the Oath of office to protect and up hold the CONSTITUTION of the USA....NOT MAKE YOUR OWN RULES/LAWS...
