I love using this build, my personal favorite for psyker except I use revolver instead and add additional weakspot damage for gaze. I find that the revolver nice to be able to pick off priority targets in a horde or far off since using the duelling sword for hordes works pretty well already. Thanks for the video!
Exactly my thoughts, Columnus Infantry Autogun is a monster with Scryer Psyker, It melt monstrosity with ease. Main difference is I don't use dueling saber for melee. I use Illisi Blaze Force Sword with Unstable Power and Deflector, so I can get 40% increased damage in melee at 100% peril (another +30% with scryer). Btw, nice gameplay ChocoB-san !!!
Lol what do the team mates think when watching something like that first clip? It would almost be discouraging seeing just how high the skill ceiling can be (imo); understanding that I’m not miles away from being good at this game but goddamn light years. Awesome gameplay. You pretty much single-handedly keep me interested in playing darktide and getting better.

WOW, I just used this build in 2 standard damnation games and 2 auric damnation and in all 4 I top scored in nearly everything according to the scoreboard mod. Thank you, I'm going to enjoy playing this build for a long time.
I'll try this. Tbh i thought id never play psyker again, the nerf on every staff was brutal, i cant even kill regular enemies with a single strike, gotta do multiple so its pretty useless against the increased waves of enemies, thought psyker actually became purely a support character but this build gives me hope.
I don't fully understand it but one of the dueling sword attacks has forward movement added to the attack and you can combine that with regular movement.
You can do it with any weapon, but some are better than others. Sprint > attack > crouch slide. It'll work with either heavy or light attacks. It used to have much more momentum back on launch but has since been nerfed to what you see now
head is a weakpoint, if you have enough rending you kill a lot faster than torso shots. If you don't have enough rending then you might as well hit their torso.
As the other guy said, I think it's only in maelstrom, but it's the Monstrous Specials modifier. Any special enemy has a chance of becoming/spawning a (weakened) monstrosity on death.
I do like smite better for gunpsyker. The brain burst proc as mentioned above usually happens on trash mobs. The few times it does proc on something other than a trash mob it's usually something that the Columnus can take out with ease. With smite though it's *almost* as useless but you can use it to escape sticky situations where your about to be backed against a wall by crushers and maulers. I've also seen people run assail, but that's pretty much only if you don't have a vet on your team (which is like 10% of public games)
@@AndrewGR469 i have to agree. sometimes it feels like there is 0 audio feedback or enemys spawn out of thin air next to you. would love to have a killcam tbh
I beg to differ, most of his teammates in these videos tend to voice their awe at choco's clutchability. Those quitters who don't hang around are missing out on learning strong fundamentals from other players.
@@TewbBelrog Sometimes there are unlucky spawns without audio cues which sucks but as for quitters there’s also a glitch I’ve seen where people quit when they go down then rejoin and they’ll be back up with health to spare
