Kinda wish the red was slightly darker, cool set overall Bandai definitely should do more of these, imagine a Black Tri-stars (both Zaku and Dom variants), or some grunt suits (for army builders), like Zakus, GMs, etc.
There actually are a few Black Tri-star sets, they're just all P-Bandai unfortunately. Also largely just a multi-box of kits you can normally buy individually.
I think the Re-Rage's double cannon being called a one-off weapon is more saying it was only made for this unit, rather than being a two-shot disposable weapon, since it has a magazine sticking out of the top.
Lol it's actually worse than that, because the earliest EFF MS rolled out around July 0079. Then the Gundam itself comes in around September. And finally the basic GM doesn't show up till fuckin' November. So at our most generous, all this crap is stuffed mostly into 6 months.
@@bizarrion I think the stuff in between like the advance of zeta is odd like something to do with ownership of advance of zeta or something along the lines. Honestly I don't mind universal century stuff but I wish they could do something for stardust memory mobile suits already instead of another freaking unicorn kit!!!
IDK when did this version of the 03rd MS Team came to be but I'm pretty sure the team was formed after Episode 11. Because we did saw 2 GM Ground Type's from the 03rd Team getting destroyed but there was no confirmation of a 3rd unit, most likely the Re-Rage was the 3rd unit damaged in combat.
This team has nothing to do with the events of 08th MS Team series. It's not part of the Kojima Battalion. They're part of the 17th Composite Battalion, which operated in South America. In the lore, there is about 60 Ground GMs produced. Kojima and Ryer received about 18 of them, 12 frontline units, 4 snipers. Kojima also received 12 Ground Gundams. Kojima's 8 teams did not mix GMs and Gundams. 4 teams of GMs, 4 teams of Gundams. There was also some GM grounds assigned to various independent teams and companies like Slave Wraith team, Delta Team and Black Dog company. The 44th Mechanized Composite Regiment under Major Michael Colmatta which fought in Africa and the Caucasus region also received some ground GMs sometime before Operation Odessa, as they took part in the operation.
Speaking of red kit. P-Bandai - HG 1/35 Guren Seiten Price: 4730 yen Release date: May 2023 Just saw it on social media, our Lancelot Albions will be happy lol.
Come to think of it, most of the HG Gundams released under the HG All Gundam project circa 2013 had pretty good ankles. The HG Revive line kits that started in 2015 seem to have had consistently worse ankles in comparison for whatever reason.
1. It looks similar theme wise to the ez8 kit from build fighters try. 2. It looks like something from the build fighters universe rather than universal century. 3. I WISH I COULD GO TO JAPAN TO PLAY THAT GUNDAM ARCADE GAME!!!!
Sometime I think Bandai have too many leftover plastic from other kits which they have to made in to this kind of kit which colour scheme seem strange. Red and white is just to standout in a battle field, it work for Chars' but not for urban warfare.
Bandai actually did a 08th MS Team set a while ago, problem is I think the line was discontinued but it had the Hover Truck and tiny fixed posed soldiers with it as well.
@@NoLifeArcade recently I got Zaku kit of that hard graph line. The 08th team set is sold out.. it is still out there. Mine is red bandai logo. Old stock maybe.
@@ezlynnaskerd3292 They still reprint them from time to time, including the old box. They don't change the box style like some companies do until they do a full redesign of the kit. They put the original year of design on the freshly manufactured boxes too, so it's impossible to tell new stock from old stock, and you get scalpers on ebay trying to sell new stock as "vintage."
The shoulder cannon isn't a single use weapon, it's just a custom weapon built solely for this machine. That what it means by one off lol. You can even see the gravity fed magazine on the top of it.
The unwanted release. Usually when P-Bandai kits open for preorder it will sold out in few secs but this kit went up for few months and literally no one want this kit lol. If only they design better on color scheme this would be well accepted
Plenty of people wanted this once they heard about it. But they were new and most people had no idea who they are. The kits that sell out in seconds are popular and well known. Its never an obscure unit nobody has ever heard of that sells out instantly.
Probably would have helped their North American sales if they could ever be bothered to translate more of the manga and send it our way. Lost War Chronicles was great. I hate that Ecole Du Ciel was never finished at all but at least we got most what was done translated and sent here. Instead we just get Thunderbolt, which they only make like 5 kits for total.
1:54 It is rare to get a fully colored P-Bandai release. But often (or always?) it means that it is a retail release in another region and P-Bandai in Japan. An example of this is with the MG GN-001/hs-A01D Gundam Avalanche Exia Dash and again with the MG GN-0000+GNR-010/XN 00 XN Raiser; both of which are retail release in the US and P-Bandai in Japan, and comes with a full color boxart.
Idk if this 3rd ms team is related to the 3rd ms team from the anime that got attacked and I thought was destroyed by the zeon mobile armor in episode 11 or but until I know for sure that is my head cannon
@Casval Cat maybe so but I'm just going by the fact they are the 3rd ms team and that was the team thought to be destoryed by the zeon Mobile armor in episode 11 of 08th ms team and since we don't have much lore to go by of the team right now on the wiki that is just my head cannon was the federation rebuilt their suits after episode 11 and they became the red gaints
@@Heroduothecomedian They're not related at all and their timelines pretty easily exclude them from being the same team. The 3rd team in the 08th MS Team series is all GMs and part of the 1st Mechanized Composite Battalion (also called the Kojima Battalion.) stationed in South East Asia and worked their way up to toward the Tibetan plateau. The Red Giants/3rd Team are part of the 17th Mechanized Composite Battalion which at the same time is assigned to South America as part of Jaburo base's forces. The Battle of Jaburo is on November 30th, and 3rd Team from the 17th MCB would still be fighting Zeon forces from the failed drop operation for the next month. 3rd team, 1st MCB would take part in the siege of the Zeon base in Tibet during the first half of December. The 1st MCB suffered horrific losses in the siege of the Tibetan base and lost over half of their pilots and machines. 3rd Team, 17th MCB existed months before 3rd team, 1st MCB, were presumably killed in combat with the Apsalus III mobile armor and they existed on different continents. That's just the nature of Federation forces. There's going to be a "03rd team" in every battalion. There's going to be an "08th Team" too probably, depending on how bad their losses have been.
i want a re-done/designed ground gundam with new improved joints, and joints that dont fall apart over time, besides with the old one it was hard to actually get it into the iconic, one knee- and the gun on the shield pose
Surprised this one's not a Build Fighters set, and is instead, another UC retroactive shoe-in. The squad of three with a distinct color layout looks prime to be a a one-off team in Try.
I feel like these designs and color schemes don't fit the UC timeline very well and kinda seems like something that you'd see in Build Divers or something.
Is there a reason given as to why the GMS have very Zeon-esqye heads? Those command antennae and mouth pieces just really clash with the OYW federation aesthetic. It'd make way more sense post-OYW when there's old Zeonic engineers working with the Federation.
That pile bunker shield. I was willing to buy two of this just for that. But it's not an actual claw! My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
welp i seen the scalper prices for this high grade yea i would make this by hand with sculping puddy i am good i just buy me ground gundams i am ok with that
I'm surprised you're able to get the torso on the Gundam to stay together. I have the Gundam Ground Type Urban Combat which is just the Ground Gundam recoloured and that bottom section of the torso refuses to sit nicely with the rest above it. Will not go all the way together no matter what I do so if I move the torso too much or if I move it basically at all with the backpack on it just falls apart.
3rd MS Team was cool in concept but pretty disappointing in execution imo. The designs look more like they belong in Build Fighters and/or 30 Minute Missions than legit UC timeline.
Remember this guy said any kit that are not form 2011 and onwards are bad also treats his model kit as an action figure and the gunpla subreddit hate mecha gaikotsu and I still don't get it honestly
Such an ugly release, I never liked these the moment I saw the news of them. The suits look completely out of place and over the top for the time frame they should be in, they are also quite ugly in design. The Gundam main weapon is bizarre ... a revolver gatling gun? what?!? why would the Feds make such a strange weapon so early in MS design? Why does the GM have three spears in reserve? that's one and a half reloads? And the second GM after all this gets a basic ground bazooka and a standard shield with a li~~~~~ttle extra bit added on. Not a fan, however this set is great for people wanted to paint and equip them as you want to be your own team. I just don't know why you'd want the actual set as is.
