LOSING MY MIND RIGHT NOW.
Coming to steam as a PC exclusive, Freedom Gundam is a 4 star general with some BEAUTIFUL LOOKING ABILITIES. I'm so stoked for this. As a result I'm very curious if this will let us get more non UC suits on PC. Also Kira suit and free suits coming to STEAM!

This is 100% based off of the surveys. The announcment vid from the devs stated that the PC side wanted more AU stuff, while PSN version wanted to stay on UC era. This is basically what they came up with.

Eventually, Freedom will come to consoles, but I find it interesting how much smaller gundams from the Seed universe are noticeably smaller than after Zeta UC era suits.

On average most MS in the franchise are the size of OYW era UC MS aka around 18 meters tall, so no surprise the Freedom looks short compared to its competition in-game.

I was so confused to see news about the Freedom Gundam from SEED coming into a mainly UC universe game. My personal theory on how is this even happening is that the Psycho Gundam system units came back from their weird universe hopping and brought with it the Freedom Gundam, most likely it was chasing after them.

Freedom is a beautiful Mobile Suit, its lines are clean details crisp and minimal, and its wings are functional, attractive, striking, and are the perfect size for the suit. It feels like they took everything greats from the Talgesse III and turned it up to eleven. And Strike Freedom is a Masterpiece.

They should add more MS for the seed line in game. Like the Guaiz, Ginn, Cgue, etc. Not just the gundams, put it in the same banner as the freedom.

Popular in pick and controversy as prior to this suit's announcement, people were up in arms about keeping GBO2 "UC only" and while PC got it, PS did not, mainly because the majority on PS did not want to bring AU to GBO2, but we will see if there will be other AU suits in GBO2 for both eventually.

On PS4 the game is still unbalance with the various MS from different UC conflict eras fighting each other. A player with a RX-78-2 only on 500 cost match vs Zeta, ZZ, and CCA era MS will not fair well. Alternative universe MS just make the power creeping gacha worst on game balance. For example, Seed has MS that are ballistic resistant, while IBO is beam resistance. Plus the amount of favoritism toward Raid units is obnoxious due to stun resistance and full frontal melee assault.

because the Japanese rejected it. The PC crowd is mostly U.S.A players and the console version is largely Japanese and Asian.

Well, it's a shame I won't bet getting this until I feel brave enough to reformat my gaming PC. Some Q4 2023 Windows/NVidia update destroyed my video card's stability and GBO2 crashes whenever I try to customize/select an MS.

Like sure I voted for other universes to be added but who tf voted for completely different content from PS? This is just asking for us to be used as guinea pigs. Also they added the Freedom, not the Strike Freedom, at 700 cost. Not sure they have a long term plan for this.

@@RedWolfVion Which is exactly why the PC version is used as a guinea pig for the PS version. If I was doing a test I would have at least put it at 650 and not 700. This is just asking for trouble for when they want to add the SF, where they either have to reduce its cost or do another hi-nv where the second unit has a bunch of ranged weapons but is just supposed to downswing ppl.

By my understanding there is a HUGE disconnect between the PC and PS player base on adding non-UC units, with the PS side vastly favoring NOT to add them into the game. This is just placating the PC only fans, and as far as I'm concerned those whiny brats can keep it.

Apparently there was a survey and the end result was console players preferring UC only vs PC players preferring AU. This survey is news to me but apparently this is why an AU suit is steam exclusive

The devs did a vote for the future of the game on each system. Steam voted to leave UC and Playstation voted to stay. Playstation users get a bland basic gundam like last week.

No they would suicide the console version. This is because the console version playerbase is over 90% Japanese and Asian. They said no to AU mobile suits in GBO 2 on console. If BB Studio went against that mass players would leave. They would lose way more money in the end over gaining money from the Freedom.

This is really cool And it opens the door for a lot of cool suits. A shame is only for PC. If you ask me i think they should also have it on console but with a especial mode or somethin so the people whi don't want non UC suits can be happy. And also i would love to see the Gaia gundam and infinite justice

Imo, i for one is against this putting freedom in gbo2 as it is a game around pure UC only it wouldnt make sense for it to add AU, i dont want AU to come in to ruin gbo2 which is a game that is only UC, yall may be with it, but i aint, trust me when i say this that, i hope you know by opening the gates to AU you are ruining GBO2, if you do then there is no saving gbo2. If you want to play any AU suit go play Maxiboost or evo (oh right its dead i forgot) rather just stay on pc or those that wants AU move to pc quit gbo2 on consoles, dont ruin the game by opening the Gate towards AU in console, all that stuff can stay away from my favorite game.

No the console players voted no. The PC players voted yes. Mostly because the PC crowd is 90% western and the console version crowd is 95% Japanese and Asian with 3% being Western and the last 2% is comprised of mixed from Europe/Australia and other countries. That 95% Japanese Asian crowd said no on console.

Theres only a few thousand of us vs the hundreds of thousands of Japanese and Chinese players. It might be even millions. I wouldnt stress over it so much dude. Because alternative universe MS have different power scaling than UC era. UC only already have an imbalance issue when players with OYW MS fight against UC 0083 era and higher MS.

No ones really crying waaaaah. This is actually what a large majority of the PC/Steam crowd voted for. Maybe a very small minority is upset but a much larger portion of those who play GBO 2 do it on console. The PC version is a very very small minority that either dont have a PS console or didnt wanna buy one just for GBO 2. I play on PS and I dont play the PC version so it doesnt affect me and I dont give a shit lol. If this is what the PC players wanted then good for them. Im more surprised the devs actually listened to the players.

@@Darth1Marik oh dont get me wrong Im ALL for getting new suits from the rest of the Gundamverse since it keeps the game world growing and expanding rather than coming to an abrupt halt cause bandai then needs to either make a whole new slew of UC gundam animes or expand the UC Engage story even more to add more UC suits to GBO2 rather than picking from their already VAST CAST of mobile suits to add to both games not just one version of it

@@Hero361 its mostly because of balance reasons. AU mobile suits in some series are fucking crazy. Hell the Turn X alone which isnt even a Gundam would obliterate everything in the U.C. by itself. I understand as I am a Gundam fan myself but we need to be reasonable. The core design of GBO especially from the first game is unable to handle alot of the crazy powers and abilities of the AU mobile suits. This is why they tried GBO NeXt but that game was optimized like absolute dog shit so it failed big time. If they really want a AU GBO they should try NeXt again but not have it be a hot steaming bag of smashed dog shit.
