@@Celtorian depends, the damage upgrade that comes with it together with the ‘buff’ for shotguns is ok, but having to constantly aim your shots (and not being able to while rolling) creates a lot more risk for getting hit on bosses and it really only helps on shotguns + bullet crown. Pass for me
The "story trash" is how you get to one of the coolest puzzles and fights in the game. Edit: if you google what I'm talking about you're literally robbing yourself. There are practically no secrets in EtG you can't find or solve by just playing the videogame.
@@0pti0nalcrazy Same, accidentally stumbling into the rat cellar randomly on stage 3 and then happening to have the blanks and keys for it and then figuring out via the notes which direction to go for the rooms before the rat.... no way in hell I'd figure that all out myself.
@@doug2555 @doug Unsolicited wall of text time! Spoilers ahead for random readers, and a mostly spoiler-free tldr at the bottom. 1. Finding the rat cellar by accident is pretty easy with a random blank or any of the million free blank trigger items, even if you don't find it the hard way. Either way, there are fucking rats everywhere, and if you do find it it isn't hard to make a mental connection. 2. The rat cellar itself leads to a minecart track that leads suspiciously to a dead end, even after you've used a blank and a key just getting there. There's fuckery afoot. You can find the secret wall just like any other secret wall in the game, either with bullet impacts or a hail Mary blank. You don't even need to be close, if you get it off screen you can still hear the sound cue. 3. Surprise! Another dead end. More fuckery. Even if you're out of blanks you can still find and confirm the next secret wall by shooting it the walls, and you can come back prepared in another run. 4. After getting into the last room you see a big fuckoff lock that looks suspiciously like the big fuckoff key being sold in the shop in chamber two. It's expensive as hell and you probably don't have it on you, but now you know what it does. 5. You buy the key and come back in another run. Down you go. New floor. If you couldn't make the connection between the Resourceful Rat and all the fucking rats leading up here, well, there he is taunting you every time you press tab. 6. So you inevitably get lost and get booted to chamber four. After a handful of runs it becomes pretty apparent how weird the floor is, like how going back through a door you came from leads to a different room. 7. The solution isn't obvious, but it is only complete horseshit if you never read Ammonomicon entries ever. The Infuriating Notes are appropriately infuriating, and if you've ever checked them in the Ammonomicon they're all distinct, separate items right next to each other. Nobody expects anybody to notice the cheese arrows right away, but later you know that "???" is wack and the Rat is almost certainly involved. TDLR: I am not calling anyone stupid. The puzzle is hard, and if you just want to fight a cool boss more power to you. However, I will say that EtG does a pretty good job telegraphing its secrets, and if you solve it yourself (again, by just playing the videogame) it will be significantly more memorable than checking a wiki.
I've found 2 rainbow chests in 1 run. Yes, that happened. If you don't believe me, that's okay. Not sure I'd believe me. The odds that it happens are so stupidly low. I've also had double Mecha Junkan with Baby Good Mimic. That's probably easier to believe.
@@lyrebird5982 beating every secret boss, beating boss rush, unlocking every gun and unlocking every skin doesn't count? I've done the secret bosses only and it sure feels like I got a lot left
aint you suposed to do the gunslinger's past now? unless my memory is fried you did the thing, now do it again but with the "all guns are op" character
you know the video's going to be good when its not even 1 min on the video and there is around 8-10 Terraria female character damage sounds in a span of 30 seconds
You need the notes to find the rat, some only spawn after certain conditions and the last rat note will always be from a mimic, you just got unlucky with what kind of mimic. It is possible to do the rat maze without some or any notes, but definitely not advisable. (Btw each rat note will have a piece of cheese pointing a certain direction, that’s where you go for each room of the rat maze until you find ratfucker and beat him and steal his mcdonald’s toys)
Just last week I had the most absurdly broken rainbow run (Clone, Vulcan Cannon, Yari Launcher, Super Hot Watch, Platinum Bullets, etc.) and it allowed me to finally defeat the Advanced High Dragun. That, and this video, are proof that if you just keep playing, the game will carry you to the top eventually.
@@olivercharlton2479 Dude they really are, rainbow runs are ABSURDLY broken sometimes. In fact, I'd recommend finding and watching the "8 hour gungeon run" video. THAT is a level of broken I never could have even fathomed before watching it.
@@TheMirksta Could never get into Isaac for some reason, even though I watch a lot of content on it. Hades is a masterpiece tho, way up there on my list
@@thatonelad9416 Isaac is a whole thing to get into, I have like 500 hours I think and still have shitloads of stuff to do. As an overall game Hades is incredible, but isaac has an unbelievable amount of content so I find it more replayable.
I remember the time I got golden junk, junkin, mimic of junkin and blank bullets that was how I got my first lich kill as I had two op bodyguards that just killed everything and blanks when off every five seconds I have never got that lucky since
I like how we shot the wall with stinger and then just walked away. If he had shot it one or two more times it would have broken, you can see it start to crack at 8:45. Also I believe any gun other than the one you spawn with is capable of breaking walls, not just explosive weapons.
revealing secret rooms isnt the same as opening them, almost all non-infinite-ammo guns can reveal secret rooms, but only blanks and certain guns/items can _open_ them
