In today's episode, I talk about Enter the Gungeon and it's amazing system that helps you get better. If you want a hard game that teaches you the ropes as you play then gungeon is your game. And I don't just mean a tutorial. Watch the video to see what I mean!

Yeah it's feel so painfully obnoxious with its the dps limit on bosses since it makes every weapon feel the same. And how without a guide (just like Issac) you won't understand what do you to get further in the game

@@daveraschke I heavily disagree. Despite the DPS cap guns do feel different as there are lots to con categories that play differently. There are clickshooters(the ones that shoot faster if you click), automatic guns(hold to shoot), charged weapons, constant beams, weapons with auto aim that allows you to focus on dodging, weapons with really long cooldowns between shots, absolute gamebreakers(back hole gun and that one other gun with full bullet clear), DPS cap bypassing guns, and then you have unique weapons that dont really fit any of those categories such as mimic gun, variety of melee weapons, gun that charges like an active item, or ones that alter your properties like balloon gun giving you flight(really useful against bosses with floor hazards). An then it comes to getting further in the game. Gungeon manages to do it pretty well as NPC quests are obvious because that literally tell you what to do. the only thing that might lock the player is probably the invisible floor and minecart riddles both of which can be bypasses with flight. Figuring out what to do with the broken TV and rat puzzle.Tho potentially unsolvably stuckable puzzles for a game as big as the Gungeon is not so bad.

i out 300 hours on gungeon for the switch recently and honestly this game is just my addiction recently it’s been super fun just playing a full run sometimes you can op

I didn't know there wwre invisible paths to get the bullet pieces- i just used the funny wing ability to skip all that-

I still think the boss dps cap is overtuned. 1 damage cap for 3 seconds when you break the bosses’ dps basically punishes you for saving you’re non-anti-dps strong weapons for the boss. I’d accept an 80% reduction, but the current cap forces you to stop shooting your good guns to save ammo.

You forgot to mention Bullet Hell. Your items from the 5 floors or the secret ones transfers over to Bullet Hell. Just not your past.

Trying to get all the trophy/achievements in this game is driving me up the fucking wall. It’s one of my favorite games of all time but goddamn just waiting for specific RNG enemies is probably the only negative.

it does. i had a run to bullet's past with 7 armor a few days ago, and i nearly died because i was playing extremely carelessly because of them lmao

ive noticed only some armor does, specifically armor granted by gunknight armor. All items related to gungeoneers transfers to pasts (ancient heros bandana, gunknight helm, infuriating photo etc. etc.)

There're many broken items in the B tier and magnificence resets if you use the save button. There're combinations that let you play like a monkey and still get master rounds and also builds that make you struggle with normal room clearing. Also, some secret floors are kinda worthless for the max power run, like the Abbey and R&G. At least the Blobulord is very easy (and early enough that a reset feels okay) and the Rat items can easily win you the rest of the run.

Love the video edit transitions. Also I will have to disagree with a point you made at 0:52. You say that if players seek only the chests and the shop, most of the floor would be left incomplete but it's the complete opposite. If you find the chests, the shop and the boss room then you have explored most of the floor, if not all of it. There can be 2 or 3 rooms left AT MOST

Also, for the whole "you don't really get lucky runs"... Magnificence be Jammed, I've got Hax Luck, and the skill to make it work! I started a fresh save with some mods to add new content and crank up the difficulty, and the save started with the Tutorial AK47 chest being a rainbow chest. First run worked out to collect ALL of the bullet components and achieved Lead God. Run three spawned ANOTHER Rainbow Chest. Runs 1-4 beat the core 4 Gungeoneer's pasts respectively. Run five was as Paradox, and made it to Lich, making run 6 a Gunslinger run. On run NINE, I found High Dragunfire. You can ABSOLUTELY get illegal levels of luck in this game.

are you sure none of the mods modified the rainbow chest chances or smth? because I've played hundreds of runs at this point and have NEVER seen a natural rainbow chest in my life
