Thank you Thom. Love Alan. He’s just so nice!! Have you given any thought to going to Everest base camp next year and doing live daily coverage & interviews?

I'd absolutely love to do that. The main stumbling block is securing a budget....funding is always an issue. In 2024, being the 100th anniversary of the disappearance of M&I, that might present some additional opportunities.

I wonder if dizknee/Nat Geo would want to do something for streaming. They haven’t done any live or daily streaming shows yet, and I bet a big chunk of their Nat Geo viewership is from Free Solo and the two or three Everest things on the app.

Thanks Thom. Loved this series. I really love the idea that this is a mystery that will never be solved but one that we can all solve for ourselves. It is comforting to know that even if I never learn the actual fates of Mallory and Irvine, I will be able to question and and learn about how they managed to complete what we know they did complete using the tools at their disposal.

I truly hope this mystery is solved....I suppose it can happen, as another viewer/commenter here shared, if Shackleton's Endurance can be found, learning the truth of M&I isn't a closed book. Thanks Brendan!

They found Shackletons boat the Endurance recently so you never know.

I guess I had hoped regarding the bodies removed they might have made it possible for climbers to be identified if they still had any identification , or some way notifying other authorities regarding body retrieval. It might put some peoples minds to rest.

It makes sense....but, then again, if they had someone stationed in Nepal with a gun to keep people off their communications devices for absolute security, I guess rational thought is out of the question. Thanks for watching!

I have no problem being difficult towards a government official if they are doing the bidding of the CCP. I can’t believe I’ve never heard that story. Automatic rifles at the base of the Lhotse face🤦‍♂️ I’ve heard it all.

It's unfortunate that China has control of Tibet and part of Everest. The crimes of Chinese imperialism are repulsive and unforgivable. The fact that people are being placed in Chinese Concentration Camps today and the US Government is ignoring it reminds me the US ignoring the 1st Concentration Camps and refusing to assist Jewish refugees.

what do u suggest the usa do?
@StandedInUtah
@StandedInUtah 2 года назад
@@sammyseagull At a minimum would should keep the Trump sanctions against China, not give China oil from our strategic reserve, and increase taxes on US Corps manufacturing in China to encourage a return home or to friendly nations. The Biden administration is considering dropping sanctions and sold Strategic Reserve oil to China instead of using it to help US citizens. At a more assertive level we should increase sanctions and place tariffs on all Chinese goods.

@@StandedInUtah and drive usa cost of living thru the roof while other countries continue to benefit from trade with them! lol as well as alienate a holder of your massive debt. and tax some corporations at a higher rate than others! lol

@@StandedInUtah and you think other nations would honour your sanctions?? lol
@StandedInUtah
@StandedInUtah 2 года назад
@@sammyseagull The nations who care about Uighurs being forced into Concentration Camps should join in. The dollar is the primary denomination of international trade. If countries want access to US they often have to use US banks. If the banks can't make a transaction due to sanctions it will slow their economy drastically Yes, consumer prices will go up. Is it more important to have a new cell phone or to try to stop a genocide?
