G N' R & Metallica - Live & Loud. MTV Networks documentary about the stadium tour they did with Faith No More in 1992. Captured from my personal VHS-tape
DUDE! I only just wish I can relive those moments again man. miss those days. just want to dive into the screen and hope it pulls me back into those days.
@@papelnaarea nope black album also sold 30 million, don't underestimate it.. Nirvana sold most of their albums posthumously, after Kurt died... and you can't rate a band by how many albums they sold... Do you also like Britney Spears? or Backstreet Boys? Or Just Bieber? because they also sold millions of albums.
@@papelnaarea Metallica, GNR, and Nirvana are like all equally big. I don’t think one is big than any others. The only level above them is The Beatles or Michael Jackson in terms of popularity
I was also lucky enough to see this Guns N’ Roses and Metallica and faith no more, in Dallas Texas... Hell of a show... I was 16 years old... they kick A$$..
Nirvana was asked to be on this tour too. Can you imagine Nirvana, Metallica and GnR all on the same night? After the show you'd say "ok ive seen it all I can die now"
We will never see a tour like this ever again two of the biggest bands in the world one after the other simply amazing whoever got to see this was lucky!!
The height of excess for Guns and Metallica. The tour is legendary and to die for. Two of my favorite bands ever and I envy the people who saw this insane tour. Just legendary.
I would give a nut to go back to watch this show ! My two favourite bands at the time touring together was HUGE even in my little town of Hobart Tasmania , we as teens were so sad we couldn't go ! What's amazing is both bands are STILL selling out stadiums today.
GNR has always been my group, Axl is a genius and I absolutely love him, pain or not, he's the most exciting front man ever. Metallica is a good group but plays one style, but GNR is multi faceted, they can play hard rock, ballards, theme songs, they are the greatest. Love you GNR 🥰😍🤩😘❤️🔥🤘❤
Best memories of my first live gig experience June 14th 1992 managed to buy this ticket from a kid at school little did I know support bands would be Faith No More and Soundgarden . We waited along time for rose to appear. Soundgarden and faith no more were exceptional
Saw this tour at the Rose Bowl when I was a young fella. Had great seats, girlfriend's dad worked in TV. We ended up sitting next to Ron Jeremy and two lady friends of his. Metallica played and then Dice came out and did about a half hour of stand up. He spotted my girlfriend's sister and spent about five or ten minutes including her in the act. When he said, "What's your name, honnneeyyyy?" I knew it was about to go down:) Guns came on about a week and a half later and were well worth the wait. Good Times!
was there too, would do anything to go back and see that show from the beginning to end. missed Body Count and was late to Motorhead. God bless and thanks for sharing.
Awww, Duff. 🥰😍 I’ve been crushing on that man since I was 10 years old. My first ever concert was GNR, the Use Your Illusion tour. Right after Izzy left. But it was so great. I was 11 years old and probably had no business being there, lol. I guess I had really cool parents.
In '92 I was 10 listening pop music. In 1994 there was the light...I became a Metallifan 4 life. At that time Jason always was my favorite member. He always kicked ass on stage with his brutal looks and his headbangin'
This is the era that these guys drink whisky and vodka for breakfast, lunch and dinner every single freaking days. Passing out, getting intoxicated and having sex with all those girls, and all other kind of bad habits. Good thing nobody died in GNR and Metallica's main founding members...:))
When you hear Gilby talking about New Orleans at 10:45, you can Metallica playing Of Wolf and Man on stage in the back ground. I miss hearing that one live.
I saw this tour in Las Cruces New Mexico in August 1992. One of the best shows ever. James Hetfield's arms had just been burned so their guitar tech played James guitar parts while James just sang.
Poor James suffered those horrible burns. Thankfully, he had access to the best care possible, so he was able to make a full recovery, but that was pretty bad. Axl had nothing to complain about compared to what Hetfield dealt with. Props to him and John Marshall for stepping in and doing it.
Thank you and God bless you a million times for this. You have the very beginning part that most people leave out. My friends and I were lucky enough to see this tour on October 3, 1992 at the Rose Bowl, Pasadena, California. It was completely sold out. Body Count and Motorhead opening. It was heaven. If anybody gets a time machine, you name your price and you will have a very loyal and dedicated new best friend forever.
I saw this concert at mile high in Denver and when Metallica played the place was insane and when G&R came on the place was dead. Metallica wore us out
1:07 Axl wearing a Corrosion Of Conformity T-shirt, hell yeah, long live COC and may Reed Mullin rest peacefully, one of my favorite Drummers of all times.
My 1st concert @ 13 im blessed and lucky got to see the biggest bands together including my all time fave METALLICA & Guns @ the rose bowl in Pasadena Ca...
...and Guns'N'Roses lost a lot of fans, especially after (& including!), Montreal! It was bad enough for James Hetfield to get burned like that, but then, for the Concertgoers to not only have to put up with an at least Two Hour Delay...and for G'N'R to go out, perform several songs, and then watch Axl Rose have one of his hissy-fits? No! The song "Hero of the Day", from Metallica's "Load" Album, was a scathing retort directed squarely at G'N'R, and at Axl Rose in particular! We see, of course, which Band is no more, as compared to the other Band that's still around. Metallica continue to put out albums, while G'N'R has been so obscure, that it's not to be believed. Axl Rose continually stated that he had problems, health-wise. It seems to me that all he's trying to do is to get people to either feel sorry for him, or to forget about the entire Montreal disaster. No, Axl! We don't forget, have never forgotten, nor will we ever forget, what happened that night! Bye bye, Axl Rose!
@@alejandroalcantarasoria2839 In terms of their lackadaisical attitude, and especially Axl Rose being the way that he was, now there I'll agree with you!
How is wished I could've been older during this fucking awesome era of music..I was 12 and mesmerized by Metallica and GNR and wished I could've seen this concert live and in person!🖤
Man if they got Nirvana to tour with them in 92 with their Nevermind album or my dream line up guns metallica and pantera. Pantera had Vulgar back in 92.
I'm really looking forward to reading Axl's autobiography if he ever decides to write a book and see what his perspective is of how things went down (literally) for the original GNR lineup... As for the infamous Metallica-GNR tour and according to Slash's own words, they could have been more professional avoiding the mistakes they did. But again, I want to read Axl's "truth" if he ever decides to write a book.
Unfortunately,...those years are fuckin over. Yeah sorry to say. All that angst they had & the energy that prevailed despite the Guns incident in Montreal, they played to their fullest. Thank God John Marshall from Metal Church had stepped in for James. I would've loved to had seen that. I also just wish IZZY & Steven Adler were at least amongst Guns original line-up...back when their unity was unstoppable. No disrespect to Matt Sorum.
I was at the New Orleans show as well. Right after Hurricane Andrew. I was 14, just started high school. Saw GNR at the Dome 24 years later which is the longest time I’ve ever gone between seeing a band for a second time.
Lars seams like he's doing a white rain commercial, i love GnR but i think Metallica delivers strong live although GnR is brilliant in the studio, eather way both bands are one of my favorites!
