He lost so much of his rasp since then. I’m so glad I saw them in 2016 we he still sounded good. Now it’s just sad. They really should have concluded the tour and the latest in like 2018, took a break to rest those vocal chords, record an album or release Chinese Democracy 2 for all I care, and then go back on the road with the same energy as this. But instead they decided to milk it for wayyyy to long, never release an album of newish music, let the band sound washed up and completely sloppy, and of course ruin Axl’s voice for almost 5 years now.

⁠@@user-rc6yc3br1r I would say yes, he definitely doesn’t sound nearly as good as he did back in 2016. He wore his voice out and it’s desperately in need of a nice break if you ask me; especially if they want to actually record new music. Axl needs his voice in better shape if he wants to record any new vocals that sound good. Just go look up any GnR performance in 2023 and you’ll hear a noticeable difference from this show. The band sounds more like it’s going through the motions now since they’ve been milking this reunion for 7 years with only like 3 “new songs” to show for it, which were all written 20+ years ago for Chinese Democracy but didn’t make it on the album (I know because I’ve heard the demos from back in 1999 to early 2000 before these songs ever came out). The vocals on all of their “new music” are exactly the same vocal tracks Axl recorded 20 years ago, he hasn’t recorded any new vocals yet for GnR. The closest we get was when Axl made a guest appearance on the “New Looney Tunes” cartoon and sang a song for them (which sounded great but was like 7 years go when his voice was in better shape). Everyone wants them to record new music, and they haven’t done anything in the 7 years Axl, Slash, and Duff got back together. Fans at this point think actual new music is never going to come out which is sad. I was so excited when I heard they were getting back together, and I was even more excited when I heard how good Axl sounded at the beginning of the tour. I watched their Troubadour show as it happened and was blown away. I saw them in Detroit in 2016 and that was arguably one of the best nights the band has sounded from 2016 to now. But Houston 2016 is the best show of the reunion tour by far. I sincerely think they would still sound that good if they ended the tour in like 2017 or 2018, took a break, recorded an album, and went back out in 2021 or something. But instead they’ve been milking the reunion and making millions of dollars as the quality of the show has slowly declined for the last 7 years. That’s probably a smart business move (as bands don’t make money off albums but rather live shows and merchandise), but for the sake of integrity is a bit shallow. They should take a nod from AC/DC and tour for a couple years and then take a nice 4 year break to recover (none of them are spring chickens anymore), then come back as strong as ever. Nobody thought Brian Johnson would sing in AC/DC again after his hearing loss scare, but in 2020 they put out an album, and this year are playing Power Trip for the first time in years and I guarantee they will sound even better than in 2015.

The best one I’ve heard from this tour was in Detroit in 2016, that one was phenomenal. I wish Axl still sounded this good :/

@@Tiberius_Productions I saw GNR in '06 at the Palace of Auburn Hills and Axl sounded amazing. I remember being really surprised how great it was. I'm lucky I saw them back then. I went in 2021 and he sounded better than I thought he would for some reason he sounds worse in RU-vid videos. Was still a great show. I missed the 16 show heard it was great though live.

El axl de 2002 hasta 2017 la rompió despues empezó a perder su voz aunque ya la habia perdido desde el 96 pero como dije en esa época pudo recuperarla pero no al 100% obviamente

​@@dijon3240cuando dije que perdio su voz original me referia a que ya no le salia el rasp de forma natural como si lo hacia en los 90s y en los 80s pero en realidad cuando grita siempre pudo gritar de esa forma incluso hasta el dia de hoy puede llegar a esos rangos pero no por mucho tiempo. A mi particularmente me gusta el axl del 2010 cuando grita pero cuando canta sin gritar prefiero el de los 90s por el rasp de igual forma el mejor axl es el del inicio el de los 80s ese es incomparable su voz es muy diferente por que aunq no parezca hay diferencia con el axl del 87 que con el del 91 o 92.
