I was so stoked to see a reaction to Gunship. My boyfriend loved this group and he got me hooked starting with Dark All Day because that video used animated versions of vampire hunters, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and he knew that I am a ginormous BtVS fan. This song in particular, he told me the story about how the band put out a request to their fans for their favorite quotes from movies about never giving up and incorporated them into the song. I always knew the title came from The Breakfast Club and I recognized a lot of the quotes at the end, so it was really cool to know that. I had never seen this video, though, and it was just as amazing. The Kickboxer reference at the end with the cereal on the gloves instead of glass, oh my gosh that's hilarious. His favorite song was Pink Mist off their 2015 album and told me how it had this military undertone to it...hence pink mist. He was in the army, so that one really stood out to him. You might notice that I keep referring to my boyfriend in the past tense, and that's because he passed away in 2021 from cancer. I can't listen to this one without crying because of the meaning of the song itself but also because of what it meant to him. I know it might seem silly, but seeing that you posted this video and were already a fan of the group just really touched my heart, so thank you. Also, I know this is weird, but the first time I saw one of your videos, you made me think of him because he had those banded tattoos, one around his left wrist, one on his left ring finger (he had been married before me) and one around his left calf. They were based off the tattoos on Hugh Jackman in The Fountain, and each one represented a memory to him. Thank you for posting, and I'm here for more Gunship reactions if you choose to post them. 😊

It seems like there are quite a few folks that have a bunch of memories tied to Gunship and it hits a chord with folks. He also seemed to have good taste in tattoos:)!
