I lived and worked in China for 12 years as a finance professor. Chinese are very civilized people. I am American and when I came back I experienced the wide spread anger of many of the American people. These angry people get others angry.
This is a tremendous song! Everything about it is perfect. Guo Rong put her whole heart to it.I'm not young but I don't think I've ever heard a more moving song than this one. Thanks to modern technology, I have listened to the song repeatedly close to 100 times in less than 24 hours. Many times I was so moved that tears water my eyes. It is a spirit-lifting strong song for Chinese. Where there was never a doubt that the Chinese would survive as a nation, but like the songs says, the Chinese people went through many sacrifices modern times. We should always and constantly remember our modern history, we should keep in mind how our modern Chinese nation was established. It is our duty to lay down individual selfishness, differences, and unite together under one banner and leadership. The banner is simply 繁荣富强的祖国! Yes, 五星红旗迎风飘扬, we all want to 歌唱我们亲爱的祖国, 我们的祖国! We have 奔腾的黄河长江, 宽广美丽的土地，我们的家乡. They make us proud to be 中国人. 繁荣富强 doesn't come free. 胜利 doesn't come free. They involve genuine hard work. 我们勤劳，勇敢. Let's put in our hard work for our country, and quickly !! (The writer is Chinese. Even though having not set foot in China yet, but the dream for a 繁荣富强的祖国 is the same, if not more.) I'm just happy to have found this song. Guo Rong is very beautiful, appears very strong, vibrant and proud for the 祖国. There are others the same in the song, and I know there are tens or hundreds of millions of similar young people in China. 中国人 团结, 友爱,坚强, 中国就 繁荣 富强.
There are several different versions and tempos of this song on RU-vid, and whether fast or slow, it always sounds great. It's a very beautiful song. I also like the SNH48 and 2008 Olympics versions very much. I think the closest patriotic song America has is probably "America the Beautiful". I believe such songs should say "this is our land, this is who we are, this is how we got here, these are our goals, and this is what inspires us".
Well, I love this song. Anybody who thinks its a crap, its not actually. Actually you are looking at a mirror and you yourself seem like a crap. And if it wasn't , you'd never comment with such cheap ideas.
My daughter's musician teacher is a foreign student from China. One day I heard her teaching this song. When I heard this song, I fell in love with it immediately. Although I am not Chinese, and I don't speak single chineseI have experienced the full enthusiasm and hope of their people from this song. How could such an ambitious country fall?
