Food is more expensive in the US because this sort of thing would never be allowed. Laminate top on the table coming apart, right where they chop the ice that was touching the old truck bed right over the path that the guy with no shoes in the hot Pakistani summer was taking, and they chop it with a rusty saw/blade. Not to mention the flies all around, but hey, its just protein, right? I am sure it tastes good initially, but all of that grossness is going to cause some casualties. Of course, you could argue that the locals are fine and its the "weak American gut, weakened by sterility" that is the problem, but life expectancy is drastically different there compared to the US, despite us all being a bunch of ginormous lard butts that are basically living heart attacks with diabetes.

Holy Lord of Flies... And the appetizing foot ice. I understand that they're attempting to promote these food and drink stalls. I would have to guess that it's meant for people in their area more than people from the United States or the UK, etc, but I have to imagine that there are some people there who see this and also have a problem with the unsanitary conditions. It feels like they're doing far more harm for their cause and their attempt at promoting these stalls, than any good they do by filming it. It really just makes everything look so awful over there even though I know there's plenty of places that are clean and sanitary. It's just bizarre to me.
