My overall thoughts: as a neutral this was super entertaining. End to end, mistakes, bad ref calls, controversy, stoppage time tension, everyone subbed, and a couple of pleasing goals. Worrying for ManU is the substitution choices - Bruno should have been off earlier and Mount on from at least 70mins with Rasmus still on. Rashford was there for a jog there was no need. I felt the 4 MU defenders did well fir the majority of the game despite they weren't the 1st or 2nd choices. It was middle of the park who let them down.

@cgh08443 controversy: are people thinking they weren't pens when they were, and 8mins added time. Bad ref calls were the couple of offside calls for Chelsea when they were onside and some strange inconsistencies in free kicks given or not given for both sides throughout the game.

Yes, he said it'll all individual errors but three of the goals come from the defense not being able to deal with the run for a cutback, which is on the manager. It's his complete delusion that you can throw the ball away whenever and leave the biggest gap between the attack and defense and be fine. Erik is crap at coaching this style of football, whatever this style is meant to be.

The big space in the midfield cannot be solved with slow 30+ year old defenders. They want to sit in a low block and don’t have the legs to press. That’s the biggest issue. The defenders can’t sprint so they just stay below the half line.

Your team has no stability, no center. They are flimsy and wasteful, and they show no spirit or control. They are unable to take any amount of pressure without folding. Like you said, he's literally bringing Rashford on for 20mins so he can go for a bit of a jog: how do you feel as the rest of the team, knowing that this guy who never tries anymore will get game time regardless. This bunch of players are the most pathetic excuse of a Man Utd squad in our history. Their inability to either turn up or see a game out is absolutely staggering. You watch the reaction of the players when they get their noses in front. There's this collective sense of relief as if they're home and dry, job done, before the inevitable collapse that follows. It's been like this for years too, well before Ten Hag. Our mentality is an absolute disgrace. It's amateur hour most games. It's not difficult to be switched on with your head in the game for an hour and half, and yet we can only do it for patches here and there. Until we replace most of this squad it won't change
