Me personally…I believe if your a “challenger” you have to steal the show. You have to make the judges KNOW your the better guy. After tonight, Yes he’s an excellent fighter but he should’ve engaged a lot more.

The challenger should never let it go to the cards. You have to take the belt by TKO, not by dancing. Teo won easily as the aggressor. Ortiz better learn his lesson and stop complaining. He put himself in that situation with that boring cat and mouse boxing style.

It wasn't in boxing's interest to give Ortiz the win, because he didn't win. Teo's defense was better (he made Ortiz miss more punches). And offensively, they landed the same number of punches, but Teo's were of better quality. This was a horrible fight because only one fighter showed up.

He could’ve thrown more forsure and teo landed a few more slightly flush shots but this was a draw at best. If this was a 3 round amateur fight, Ortiz would have won. But that style is going nowhere in the professional ranks. His coach trained Cuban amateurs, and that is how Ortiz was coached to fight. Just like the Cuban Lara against Canelo. It’s a prescription for failure.

Even when Floyd was not going after guys he often landed a few very hard, crisp punches every round. He usually made it very clear that he was outlanding his opponent. Floyd almost never moved like Jamaine did because his opponents would stop going after him as hard after a while.

Teo lacked effective aggression! He lost 8 rounds to 4. Teo kryptonite is lateral movement and he’s too one dimensional in boxing skills. You can’t just move, tie up and pivot and the occasional jab and expect to win. You have to have moments of hurting the other guy by counters or you yourself pressing forward and delivering shots. The fight was not entertaining but Teo was well deserved to win. That being said.. Teo needs to sharpen up a few things and stay active. Like the jab and ring cut off. I always say.. These guys wonder why they don’t receive paydays or recognition with performances like that.

Teo need to sharpen up a lot because Ortiz lost that fight more than Teo won it. Had Ortiz had a lil more aggressive gameplan he would’ve won. Teo couldn’t hit him, he couldn’t close the ring, Ortiz kept pivoting on him with ease, Teo don’t throw body punches and head hunt too much when he gets frustrated(which is easily)

How does a boxer not understand how boxing politics works....this guy right here has been more mismanaged than anyone around...he went from 17-0 and a TOP prospect, to two set up fights against the biggest names in the game...they screwed this guy's career up big-time..now that he lost to the best names he just isnt gonna be a threatening challenger or be much of a draw..should've fought in the New England circuit for a couple more years and gotten upto 21-0 or so....then fought these bigger names with more experience and a bigger name himself....he was completely set up by whoever books theae fights for him... hopefully he got paid because it only going down from here.
