You can get basic ones or you can get the higher priced quality ones.. up to the seller if they want to sell a high priced product to the elderly.. If it were me I would talk to there children to make them 100 aware what they are deciding

I mean...you're absolutely wrong about gutters being a necessity on a house. While yeah they are inconvenient, if you look at the overall picture of maintaining a house, having water right up against the foundation of your home is terrible in regards to so many other issues. Slab or crawl space, having water against it causes moisture issues that gutters 100% help alleviate.

@@brandonlambert8021 -- I agree with you on the moisture issue but not the gutters. There are other methods in which home owners can do to prevent moisture from getting into the foundation and crawl spaces. Gutters are the worst choice and most costly of any moisture prevention on the market that I'm aware of. Sorry, but I have to disagree with you on this one.

@@tomthetitan3697 -- About to go to bed. You can drop a line from the roof edge down to the ground and mark it off. From the mark go outward from the house another 2 to 3 inches. Do this all around the house. Build a concrete form and fill it with 4 inches of concrete. When rain water runs off the top of the roof and falls to the ground it will fall on the concrete. You'll get no dirt stains from the rain water hitting dirt on the house's siding ever again. There is no maintenance to be done. Once the concrete is poured your done. There are also many different kinds of landscaping materials that can be laid down as well. There is simply no reason why any home owner should have gutters installed. They are a complete waste of money to purchase them not to mention the money you'll save over the next 30 to 40 years but not having to pay someone to either clean them off or out.
