Do you really think a professional gm is stupid enough to do this? The sens organization will not be in Ottawa for much longer. That way they can go to Houston or Quebec or whatever and keep their 32 league
Chewy Ltd I think it was actually the Turris trade when you can’t come to terms with your most consistent player your heart and soul guy in the community like Turris was and wouldn’t even keep him till the deadline trying to work on a contract that was the first sign you couldn’t trust the management
in Melynk's mind, he's doing all he can to give the sens a winner and it's his incompetent staff that's at fault. Yet to every other rational and intelligent human being, Melynik is destroying the sens from the ground up.
kyle mitchell Melnyk’s idea of a successful hockey team is only one that makes money for him, he gives 0 shits about winning a cup or the fans of Ottawa
love you fellow sens fan, we have been one of the most respected organizations for almost 20 years, we've been successful.. this isn't us, we will go back to our old self.
@@CinephileSanityTV How would it of made it more interesting? Watching a team play coached by Bucher is like watching paint dry. Did you not watch that series at all, just neutral zone trap and clog the lanes with bodies, boring.
translation: "i wanted to keep him but melnyk walked into my office and decided that Guy wasn't the coach anymore so now im here with egg on my face in front of you guys"
Go on Eugene Melnyk's Wikipedia page right now. It says and I kid you not it says "Eugene Melnyk is a cheapskate Canadian businessman who has resided in Barbados since February 1991". As a Sens fan I bursted out laughing.
I think enough is enough with the Ottawa to Quebec comments. Ottawa has a great fan base who’s been taken for granted by their owner and watched their team mismanaged and taken apart before their eyes. Doing what seems like all he can to lose our fan base. Solution bring us a new owner that cares about the team, the city and the people of Ottawa.
Either that or the NHL is gonna have to expand to 36 if Melnyk moves to Quebec City. To be fair, I’d rather it be given to a new owner so ottawa stays, but Melnyk seems dead set on staying owner.
As someone who work for the senators organization I can tell you they do treat us like complete trash not paying people, stealing money from events and some other things they still owe me $500 and it’s been a year and I don’t expect them to pay me or others
The think with Katz is you never hear from him. Like he truly doesn't care. Rogers Place keeps selling out, he's making money. It must be all good in his mind.
Stan Kroenke is another one, he owns the Avalanche. He's like Melnyk, a complete cheapskate, except he stays out of the hockey operations. He also owns Arsenal FC and the LA Raiders, and look how those teams are doing
@James Bande Ottawa was near the top of league in attendance for almost 15 years, it's no coincidence that attendance has fallen, nearly 5,000 season ticket holders gave up their tickets last year... nobody is driving 40 kilometers outside of Ottawa to watch this effing team play, because you know.. the Senators don't actually play in Ottawa... use your god damn head!
@@nathanielgordon8755 It's best to have a stadium or arena that's close to a major highway junction... or that's situated right by public-transit(namely trains) services.
The management has been garbage for years. Look at how awful they've been to sens alumni. How bad do you have to be for Alfie to quit the a suit job with the franchise after he hanged up his skates?
Boucher had nothing to do with this decision, if he did Melnyk would of made him resign if he wanted out. That way Ottawa wouldn't have to pay the end of his contract
how is that..? The Senators have only sucked for like 2 years... They had an 11 year playoff streak, won the presidents trophy.. several conference finals appearence, finals appearence, a lot of division titles in the last 20 something years.. you guys have gold fish memory if you think the Senators have always been bad.......
It’s such a shame. The city of Ottawa and its fans deserve so much better than this circus. It’s a dumpster fire that got pushed off a cliff into dump full of tire fires
This whole organization went to crap when they missed out on the Taylor hall trade, cause melnyk was out playing golf instead of answering his phone. He missed out on a piece that would have gave them that push to get a cup the next season. Instead of the top guys owning up to their mistake, they tried to save face by bringing in Duchesne. It's kinda like losing big in a poker hand and then trying to recoup your loses. It never works, you just keep losing until you got nothing left.
I’m a Vegas Fan & obviously started Following Hockey just last year & I don’t mean to talk crap but I agree with these guys & the Ottawa Fans & I think your GM is a Two Faced Liar!
What did they honestly expect from Boucher , the team was doomed since the start of the season because of a botched Kalrsson, Hoffman trade. Top it off with an owner who dumps assets because he doesn’t want to pay them and I’m talking about players and front office personnel, this team is running a bare bone operation.
Guy did well with what he had, do you expect a bunch of 19 year olds to win the cup? Dorion is just doing this to save his own job because he knows no other organization would ever hire him
We are talking about the Ottawa Senators right? A team that was actually very good and now is going to be a Cellar dweller until this terrible owner sells the team. What's sad is this new TV contract money will probably make up for the empty seats there in Ottawa
I feel bad , like actually really bad for Pierre , this poor guy has to resign , he will never work in the NHL after what Eugene has done to that team. Ottawa fans , you need a new owner
As a Senators fan that is trying to weather this storm... I agree with everything that Sid said in his rant. Sens management has lost credibility and does not know how to effectively deal with PR. Their timing on these issues shows how incompetent they are with the situations. I think I will listen to Boroweicki more as he is the only credible source inside the organization that is an honest and humble fellow who knows how to do interviews with the media. I totally need to get a Boroweicki jersey now... but I will still support the team, just not the cheapskate of an owner.
