And I thought Clarence is such a big feral cat that would give you hell if you'd try to pet it. What a helluva big & sweet cat. Now his slightly crossed eyed facial expression makes him look sweeter
Them being fixed makes a huge difference. I work the night shift at an amusement park that's also partially a zoo and we got a lot of feral cats that run around at night and a constant stream of kittens. Luckily we also have a vet that can spay and neuter them. If they're older and used to living outdoors in the park they're fixed and re-released back into their old territory where the different departments typically end up adopting them to keep them fed and domesticated. Before they're fixed it's a NIGHTMARE to catch them or get them to trust you, they'll eat the food you leave out but they'll still hiss and swat when they're not running and hiding. The fixed ones, even if they won't let you pet them, are vocal and will follow you around and generally pretty friendly. Most become what we call "park cats" though, they're pretty much fully domesticated and will cozy up to anyone that will sit around and give them food and attention. If we're lucky we find them as kittens, then we just get them fixed and there's always an employee waiting to adopt them into forever homes. I found 3 kittens in one of our exhibits around a month ago, they were spoken for in less than a week. It's weird at first but it's pretty neat to have cats chillin all over the place at night keeping me company.
My dad rescued a feral cat almost four years ago now, I was told to let him come to me. I shat myself when I walked into his flat and Phoenix came straight up to me and rubbed his head against me. I was still scared of cats back then. He taught me they’re not scary, he half lives inside my dads flat and goes out during summer. But he always comes back for food
My mom had a cross-eyed cat growing up, also named Clarence. It's based on a movie from the 60s called "Clarence the Cross-Eyed Lion." I wouldn't be surprised if that was Chris' inspiration, too!
This is a familiar story to me. We're looking after numerous cats that have made their way to us. Two that stand out in this context are a goofy crosseyed male named Tulip who came to us asking for food and a home and lately an enormous black male named Peter who is gentle, polite, and affectionate, gets along with all the others, eats all we give him but not yet decided if he wants to take up residence at present only wanting to sit with me on settee for 30 mins at a time before asking to leave again. If Peter decides to take up residence then he will be very welcome and neutered like all the others. These things go slowly and must be done at the cat's pace according to their wishes.
That's Chris from Cat Man Chris, owner of Cole, Marmalade, Jazz and Zig-Zag furry family :) He's doing loads of great things like saving stray cats and raising awareness how to properly treat animals.
Chris, you are one of the truly wonderful human beings who consistently help animals. Thank you so much! God bless you and your family (human and fur babies!)
That's because he's named after 'Clarence the Cross-eyed Lion' I would say. Clarence was a real cross eyed lion who was in a load of movies in the 60's.
Lucky kitties. An abandoned mama cat had 6 kittens under my deck around 4 months ago. I’ve been feeding them and caring for them. No shelters that do not kill won’t take them and no one seems to want them. It’s getting cold now and my landlord is okay with them on the deck but I can’t bring them in. Send prayers I find them a home soon. Poor babies.
@@ameenah6472 Yes....a shelter I donated to took two and the mama and all found homes. My daughter took two and The other one is sleeping on my couch. 😊
These people 🙄with & without names that we are learning in the videos, these are real heroes 👏. Saving the precious lives other people have thrown away. People who put them down - they are the ones with problems. We need many more people to rescue these fellow creatures. How special it is that Clarence & Midnite will have a forever home of the heart ❤💙💜 and a family to love them both together. Clarence's eyes are adorable. It is so strange that they are spayed & neutered but not chipped. But it is wonderful that they are going to have a comfortable home 🏡.
Cat Man Chris has his full 8 min plus video on his youtube channel. The man and his wife Jess are incredible and are such a blessing for the Cat Rescue world. All his videos and those on his other channel Cole and Marmalade (rest in gentle peace, dear Cole) are wonderfully entertaining and educational and well worth the Sub!
I love that they were adopted TOGETHER. I'm glad that both the man and woman went out of their way to help these cats -- some people might have given up, but they didn't and now these beautiful cats have a warm and safe home.
This is why it's SO important to chip your pets so if they get out and are found they can make it back to you (hopefully they weren't dumped). Thank you for rescuing these 2 and may they live a long, happy and love-filled life with their new mom. 💖
Most likely they were from a catch and release program. Organizations will trap cats, fix them, give them a few weeks to heal and then they get dropped off back in their old territory before they're domesticated. It's a way to control the population without having to worry about finding them forever homes.
@@Iampatrix Neither cat has a clipped ear as is the usual protocol with TNR. This guy is in the states (he TNRs and helps rescue in his area) and here TNR cats have an ear clipped prior to being released back into the community.
I probably shouldn’t have watched this because my daughters cat has been missing for 3 weeks and it’s been so hard trying to find him, but I’m so overjoyed that these two sweethearts are off the brutal streets and have a beautiful and loving life together!! Thank you so much for helping them and probably saving their lives! P.S. Please keep my daughters kitty Milo in your thoughts & prayers. P.S.S. I didn’t know the guy in here was Catman Chris! Aw he’s an amazing man that does so many good things to save these animals!! Bless you Chris and all that you do!!
I’m sorry that Milo is missing and hope you find him very soon. Was he an indoor only cat that escaped by bolting at the door? How did he get lost? Sending you my love ♥️
I adopted a black cat as my first cat from a shelter. Videos like these gives me comfort knowing what a tough life they use to live in. My cat is still skittish from living in the streets till she was 2 but shes very loving and is very attached to me. Adopt from a shelter guys. Best cat ever
I never could turn my back on homeless animals..... Mostly all cats would show up in my yard and my heart would melt as I always thought they need love and a home.... ALL my pets were homeless , I never looked for a pet they found me ♥️ Awesome video with kind hearted people helping these two beautiful fur baby's ....
i cleared out the neighborhood a couple years ago with my Humane Trap. about 10 cats total, one was unsalvagably wild feral. it seems folks just move and abandon their cats--only one was chipped btw, and he stayed on the local city shelter page for weeks. sad. if you don't want them, save their lives by taking them to a shelter--at least they'll have a chance. norfolk city animal care and adoption center strives for no-kill (i know, you can't save them all), and their 3-story cat condos make many pet stores look lame. you'll want to bring them All home. if you're ever in hampton roads virginia, visit them. you'll enjoy it--and maybe expand your fur family :)
@@em1osmurf Thank you for having such a kind and caring heart.... In my city they neuter all the cats and turn them loose to live out their lives which is better that killing them........ I have six cats that are inside cats with a very big outside enclosed area to play in thanks to my brothers carpentry experience..... I always love visiting places that take care of homeless kitties/dogs but it's hard for me to say no..... The only bad thing about having so many pets is all the river of tears when I lose one...... God bless you ♥️
I’m so happy you kept them together. I see so often animals get separated after being rescued together. In my opinion that should never happen. They’ve gone to war together.
Little cross-eyed Clarence is so cute. Having lived in MN and WI, where winters are brutally cold, I can't imagine these poor little ones enduring those temperatures. God bless the two rescuers who brought them to safety and a joint adoption!
Perfect story on how to deal with strays, trap them... then a visit to the vet and possible fostering to see if their tame enough to adopt to a forever home. Pleased they were adopted together and now live happily ever after.
What a lovely story. My best friend Jean's funeral was this morning (I attended by Zoom). She was from Plymouth England, and it was so sweet to 'meet' Jean the Cat Lady on this video. My friend Jean took wonderful care of stray humans, and it was my privilege to be one of her thousands of best friends. I send love and joy to you who care for lost furries. I know the feeling of being brought in from the cold. What a blessing.
My heart expanded to hear you describe saving these beauties and that they are safe and much loved indoor only cats!! I am so proud of all of you!! So proud!!
I love the Dodo. I miss all my animals so badly, but it's better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. And fond memories of a good life are better than most things. I have been a lucky man.
Since they were so friendly.. they mustve grew up around himan exposure.. most probably owned/abandoned at one point.. glad they were able to find a home for them!
This guy does amazing stuff with rescuing cats. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats both dogs and one cat a rescue all of them would have been dumped if not. They give back so much love and I couldn't imagine life without them
Very kind man! Thanks to him and a nice woman, they were able to rescue both cats. Happy ending, a nice woman adopted both. Now they have comfort! Hurrah!
If there's a cat that needs to be rescued Chris will move Heaven and Earth to rescue it. It doesn't matter what day it is, nor what time of day, if he's needed, he's there. This world needs more people like Chris and his wife, Jesse
One year ago one street cat started coming to my house . I started to feed her daily and she started coming daily for the food. She was pregnant this time and around one week before she stopped coming and I was so worried about her ..but yesterday all of a sudden she came to my house carrying her little kittens in her mouth...At first i thought she bought rat inside my room so I tried to chase away but later i came to know that she was carring her baby in her mouth.. 😂😂😂 Now i had made a small delivery cartoon house for her baby ... And her babies are so cute.. 🥺🥺🥰 Edit : Sorry for poor english.
Awww - Clarence the cross eyed lion ...and Midnight - so glad you helped. Cats are not fans of the cold - let alone that! Thank you for your love of animals.
I had a friend pull up on a winter’s day to a piece of property out in the woods, that he was building a cabin on. He left the truck door open and when he came back, there was a cat sitting in the front seat. Of course he took her into town and adopted her. There’s was nothing out there, she must have been dumped.
I just love people like you ❤that helps animals. And people who love them enough to take them and make them part of their life. I know because I now live in the country and I have rescue dogs and cats. We love them all. Keep doing good things in life the rewards are priceless. Blessings to you all.
**I "CANNOT" BELIEVE, AS TO, HOW "KINDHEARTED" YOU ARE!! I TRULY BELIEVE THAT "EVERY ANIMAL DESERVES TO LIVE ALL THEIR DAYS IN COMFORT + PEACE" - MY FRIEND!!
Hello friends, Animal lovers, I love you all very much, Happy is the one who loves and does good to every living thing, Stay with Greetings and Love.🌹🐈😃
A big thank you to that lady for adopting them together !!! 👍👍👍And off course that man & his lady friend for not giving up on 'em & successfully rescued both !!!👍👍👍
I remember when this happened. It was during the Polar Vortex winter in the northern Midwest, and the short time Cat Man Chris was living there. Their full story is on his channel. If I remember correctly, it was determined that those cats were abandoned.
What a sweet and adorable story, has melted my heart, you not will change the world when you saved an innocent animal, but the world of this animal will change to forever, the world and the life is a best place for people as those, thanks a lot for save and to adopt together to those lovely kitties, really made me super happy.
Tabby's are so cute and seeing him out there in the cold is too heartbreaking. I look to this channel for my daily dose of happy endings to sad stories about pets and wild animals. I wish ethics was being taught in schools starting early.
