I was a heavy drop rigger, we prepared our landrovers with trailers full of ammunition etc. I was army, it was our job. Early 70`s

Did you use so much protection to your drops? They should keep it original and drop in just in cage. That would add history to that bike

Mate..i was expecting the bike to get dropped from a Dakota as was then in its cage only...Nana's fragile hips would have survived this..

Guy, you bring so much more than just being a 17 time podium finisher to this channel, it's adventure and far more than the common man endeavours. Add to that your humility reinforced bravado and perfectlyinfused sense of humor and it is as I have always said of you as as isle of man participant, you are the king of speed and a citizen in the world of adventure! Guy didn't jump ... we don't see the aftermath ... Bike was prepped and packaged and could probably survive the drop without the chute. When packed like that there is NO comparison to the drop done in WW2 so might aswell drop a scooterbike or just anything really. kinda boring this eps.

I don't expect any nasty surprises in the unwrapping. As much as I admire people who restore or preserve vintage bikes, or anything else for that matter, I would have liked to see it go out with whatever protection it would have had in its heyday. They must have had a fairly acceptable success rate back then.
