lunkydog A lot of twisting force on that bearing, not to mention back and forth torque on the one side of one track at a certain point, was bound to give way given the bearings tiny size
I also have to wonder if the turning brakes were applied too strongly and too abruptly. Giving it a hard yank under power may have loaded the bearing too much, too quickly.
Scout for a private property owner in Lincoln that would let you display he tank in action. Put up some WW1 era (or replica) tents (and more) to make it look a proper parade ground. Definitely include some WW1 military motorcycles. Keep doing what you do!

I think it was the opposite. Imagine eating the same stuff day by day, Even at home I can't stand eating the same things for a week. Now a days theres so much more variaty plus you get sweets, spices and even chocolate. But I doubth that was a priority during ww1.
Im not entirely sure but as far as i know, WW1 tanks had two levers (one for each track) which you'd pull the lever up on one side to turn it that way not yank it. It probably only broke cuse he was yanking the lever
That's a ww1 tank, not a ww2, it just goes to show the genius of engineering that was them times, and even now a day's, thew still can't get it rite, and the solders repaired these on the battle field!
