So this isn't going to be a normal video description. Normally I feel like most people don't read these, but I'm going to write this here anyways. I've just graduated from college and now the world is my oyster... haha. But with that comes a lot of options. And truthfully, I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed lately, and really trying to hone on in my vision and mission for this channel. While these videos may have clickbaity titles every now and then (sorry about that), I love just having casual human conversations. Videos like this are a good reminder to me that we're all human, and the language barrier shouldn't matter. That's how this channel started, and I think my main focus will always be to show the positive traits we all share, no matter where we're from. Thank you for watching, you're awesome :) New videos every Saturday.

Hola, I'm Nate. I used to not know any Spanish at all, and I had no interest in learning the language. I thought learning Spanish would be boring, a waste of time, and would provide no value to my life. Then I started taking Spanish classes in high school and everything changed for me. I struggled with learning the language a lot at first, but thanks to my teachers and my Spanish speaking friends, they helped make the learning process fun. Within a few months, I had gotten to a conversational level, but more important, I had become a more confident person. The real win for me, though, was the friendships I made and strengthened. I discovered that not only did I have higher self esteem, but being out in the real world with people, whether old friends or new ones I met, made me feel more alive and connected with the world around me. Now it's my goal to create videos that make you smile and inspire you to learn Spanish or another language!

Click bait! I master 5 languages, not just two. I totally master Spanish that people don't believe that I am not from the States. I go into Italki to help Venezuelans make money, because they DESPERATELY need US$. Their money is worthless. People are literally starving there if they do not someone outside of the country who sends them $US! When I send a lesson request, I tell the teacher right away of my goal, that I do not need any help with Spanish. I even offer to help them with their English. So often they charge only 5-6 dollars an hour. After the first lesson and we click, I ask them to send me an invitation for the class at a much higher rate. A teacher didn't have enough money for some blood tests, and some much needed dental work. It was causing an infection! Nate, what an ego trip this is! Use your language ability and study other things and combine it when a lucrative profession. Now, to end this, you know what I have done?? I have bought one way tickets for Venezuelans who ALSO have Spanish passports to Spain, where they can live in decency, where they can find a good job and have plenty to eat. All I see you doing here is trolling Spanish teachers online. What an ego trip. Grow up, young man!

Hey Nate! I've got a suggestion that would be cool if could try it out - ever think of putting dual subtitles down so anyone trying to learn Spanish could practice more? I've seen it done on EasyFrench and other channels - just a thought! Keep at it!

Good video! First of all, I want to thank the author of the channel for making this beautiful and useful video for us! Many people are embarrassed to speak a foreign language if they have no speaking skills. People are afraid to hear criticism from others in their address. It all comes from having a psychological complex - to make a mistake. But, after all, he who does nothing is not wrong! In Yuriy Ivantsiv's workshop "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign language" states that we need to talk as much as possible: with yourself, with the mirror, with inanimate objects, with children and with pets. Find an interlocutor in real life or online. Talk without shyness. People won't care how you speak. They understand that you are a foreigner, as long as they understand you. They may even acknowledge your progress in their language and compliment you. However, always be prepared for criticism of your speaking skills. If you have the will to speak, you will gain an interesting interlocutor to consolidate your knowledge. Everyone is strewn with mistakes - don't be afraid to learn from them. As the Latin wisdom says, "walk and thou shalt not go astray". In the book "Polyglot Notes" by Yuriy Ivantsiv an entire chapter is devoted to the development of spoken language. Here you will find many useful tips and each student can choose a technique that suits him or her best! I wish you all the best of luck in your language learning!

The rioplatense accent is quite different from the "standard" Mexican one which is the easiest to understand. That's because a lot of sounds are the same as in Italian, some words change (even some verbs) and people from Buenos Aires also talk very fast. I'm from Uruguay, we also speak Español rioplatense.
