I came across your RU-vid channel about a week or two now and I’ve been hooked ever since! I tried making cheese rolls and Pattie’s and they were perfection! I attempted to try pinwheels for the first time .. and I didn’t want to make as much so I halfed all the ingredients to make half the quantity However, my dough never rose (this was the first ever time making this type of dough) I put it in a warm room and left it for about two hours and nothing I feel as though maybe it was the yeast but it was hard to tell .. I used active dry yeast (it was grainy in the dough) Was I supposed to activate the yeast or was the milk in the ingredients supposed to do that (This is my first time using yeast also) Any tips would be super appreciated! Thank you
Hi Mercedes thank you for reaching out. About the pinwheel dough. Your yeast might have been been a bad batch or the milk you used to form the dough was not warm enough. Milk has to be warm. I think I have a more upgraded version of this recipe you can check it out. Hope you give it another try and it turns out great next time.
