We all know -Tyler's- Myles is just getting all these sketch "props" so he can expense all this fly gear. I'm sure he has a great grill quiver now, and even his dog has a Yeti food bowl. 😂
I'm a big grill guy so I have a Napoleon Prestige. My buddy did smash burgers on his Blackstone a few weeks ago and I'll attest they were incredible. The grill vs flatop debate is bizarre. You're 100% right, you'll need all 3 because they're completely different cooking tools.
My sister-in-law was bragging about her air-fryer fries so I made her a batch with my convection setting of my oven. Changed her mind real quick. Air fryers just do apartment single servings so are better for college kids or people on a really tight budget. Ovens are for adults.
@@JosephHenry-l5e I mean they make air fryers for adults. I can put 2 frozen pizzas in mine and because it is smaller it uses less power than the oven. Still need the oven for some things.
Unless it requires a Dutch oven, the oven is nearly pointless and uses THE MOST electricity and takes up a lot of space. If there was a dishwasher with a stove top, I'd rather have that then an oven with a stove top
@@JosephHenry-l5e poor thought process there. Most air fryers can easily do more than single servings. I also don't need to heat up the entire house to make things. Not sure why you have something against air fryers. Just let people enjoy things
Just sat down with a meal cooked on my griddle to enjoy this masterpiece. Good thing I'm a Weber guy so I don't have to feel all pretentious am I right?
My wife just got me one for our anniversary. I didnt ask for it. I almost returned it, but put it together and seasoned that thing. Now, just need to use it.
I cook everything on either a gas or charcoal grill in the summer. Never saw the point of having an outdoor griddle... On point with the bit though. I know a few guys and they are totally like that.
I feel like a blackstone removes the entire point of having a bbq. like charcoal gives you the flavour, gas lets you cook over open flame, but a blackstone is just a big frying pan
It’s the fact you can cook things on it that you can’t cook on a grill like Rice/bacon/eggs/small vegetables etc. I’d rather cook everything on one surface rather than grill meat and then have to cook on the stove as well.
@@Avaddon911 Not the same. The griddle attachments for grills don’t work as good. Also in my experience the blackstone does everything a grill does but the grill doesn’t do everything the griddle does.
Griddles are fundamentally inferior for cooking any thick meat ie steaks, chicken, burgers. Smash burgers are inferior to a properly grilled burger and do not get me started on steaks or chicken. Griddles have their place for stir fry, breakfast, grilled cheese, and other things but they are no replacement for a proper grill.
I don’t go out much but I see these wherever I am even camping lmao amazing flat top grill though…gotta check the prices! Also there is tons of accessories like a tray and additions to upgrade er! Haha lmao❤ great video
You have to do a video on all these high-end purchases that people do. And then regret those high-end purchases...lollll i.e. $450 Yeti bath towel....lolll
Let’s talk about the Big Cast Iron Griddle. You can cook 30 hamburgers all at once. You can cook eggs, veggies, stir fry, and not worry about losing your veggies to the fire. But it is NOT a grill. It’s a griddle, to two are never to be confused. Personally, I like my black stone for making Asian stir fry and a quick burger. But the technique, variety, and ultimately best flavor comes from my $50 Webber Kettle Grill. An American classic that truly brings the flavor.
I like using Grill Grates on my Weber Kettle Grill.for burgers and steaks. Definitely upped the quality of the end product. But the pellet smoker is preferable for low and slow cooks, like pork butt, ribs, and brisket.
@@JohnShalamskas I have an electric smoker for that kind of thing. Masterbilt makes smokers that are relatively inexpensive and can fit five or so racks. But I have had great success “smoking” ribs on my Weber.
I think it does steaks better too. To me the griddle is superior in every way for fast cooking. Food cooked fast in my opinion, does not cook long enough to impart any kind of smokey taste. The only time I use grates now are for low and slow.
As an old school charcoal smoker and grill guy I love my Blackstone. However nothing beats a steak on a charcoal grill. The rest of what he says is spot on and funny. I've never used platters so much. Cooking everything from a ton of burgers to Chinese food. Worth every penny. Just have to make sure you don't turn into the person he's making fun of. 😂
found a 34$ insert that replaces my propane grills...ugh grills, with a flat top. I always make weekend breakfasts anyway, now bacon is done in 10 min instead of 15 in the oven. The whole batch of pancakes is done for a family of 4 in under ten minutes. Cleanup is 5 min on the griddle and 5 minutes for the spatulas. Its hard to believe I just found out about these. no way I am paying 400$ for a 4th grilling device.
I bought a professional grade one 8 years ago After further review, I am going back to all charcoal with a cast iron add on if I need it The steaks are not the same, burgers are not the same Granted you can cook Truck stop food on the flat top.. but thats all its good for Steaks taste and texture are just like cooking in a (shiver) cast iron pan Nope Im going back to charcoal
@@joshfoss7407 I do not agree. I have been grilling since I was 13 years old in 1969... nothing replaces grilling over charcoal or wood... A pig roast on a flat top? Nope
@@vrooooom4487 since 1969? I guess what I'm hearing is your methods are outdated. It's impossible to get as good of results over charcoal as you can on cast iron or carbon steel. You don't have enough surface contact with the meat to get a quality sear. You'd be far better off cooking low and slow in your grill and then finishing with a torch.
@@joshfoss7407 Methods??? Methods for grilling animals??? Are you fuckin kidding me??? I'm laughing so hard right now I have to get an oxygen tank!!!!!🤣🤣
Griddles are a PITA. I end up having to clean mine to use it and cleaning it after. I spend more time cleaning the dumb thing than cooking with it. I didn't buy it but I'd trade it for a gas grill if I could.
Why i didnt get a blackstone. Well there is the fact that my gas stove top and cast iron do the same thing, or that I really dont need all the space it has, or that maintaining a good cast iron is already more maintenance than I want....but also this persona associated with them.
