Gwaldam is a sleepy little town, on the border of Garhwal & Kumaon hills located amidst green jungles and apple orchards, offering a fascinating view of Himalayan peaks Nanda Devi (7817 mt), Trishul (7120 mt) and Nanda Ghuti (6309 mt).
This quaint little hill station is perched at an altitude of 1700 mts above the sea level and is located in Chamoli, Uttarakhand. It lies on the route which connects the Garhwal region with Kumaon.
We spent a memorable night their in a Log Wood Cottage of Forest Rest House, Gwaldam, a heritage British Bungalow built in 1890.
