Hi Anup: We tried your gwaramari recipe and it worked! We used regular flour, not whole wheat flour. I guess whole wheat flour will work too. Thank you pasa!
Hi Anup, in the the video you said we need to keep the mixture aside for a night. I am confused if I should refrigerate it or keep it out in room temperature. Please suggest. Thanks 😊
Anzu Bhattarai Add little more baking powder and it will puff up. Also If the oil is too deep then it won't puff up. Make sure oil is no more than half inch. Try it and let me know. Thanks!
did you just say, "dipping fingers in the oil will help the batter slide...".. lol..that was funny. anyways thank you for the recipe, will try this one for sure. by any chance is there any video on how to make anda bara?
meira rai No, I said dip your finger in water. May be you heard it wrong hehe :). There is a video on making egg bara as well. Please go through the list of videos, you will see there. Happy Cooking. !
Tried making this last week. For some reason, while making this, a gwaramari exploded and the hot oil sputtered all over and I have 2nd degree burns all over my hand. I'm not a newbie when it comes to cooking, this was just my first time making gwaramari. Also, another strange thing, even after taking out all the gwaramari out of the oil, another gwaramari exploded again. I'm traumatised now. 😖😖
I tried but it did not become fluffy. May be need to leave it for more than 1 hr before making it. Edit: Finally made it , just needed one day time.I increased your views by 10 times just to see the consistency of the flour. +Anup Kitchen it tasted decent but because of the colour I couldn't eat it .. it just looked weird .. i was surprised I used turmeric powder which was suppose to give a yellowish colour but i don't know why it turned pink ?? the funny thing is that the paste looked just fine light yellow but when tossed in the oil it turns pink .. is it some chemical reaction??
