I have had mine since January. No problems at all. Not used as much as you do. Still has filled lot of air tanks. Hatsan Factor, umerex origin, AEA varmint, Gunpower Stealth 22, Avenger, Bullboss, Reign,. Never an issue
After watching lots of review I decided to buy one from Amazon. Of course you're never really sure about the quality and longevity. But your video gave me peace of mind . Thanks for posting.I also bought my first PCP Rifle just like the one you have , Gauntlet 2 in 22cal. Maybe you could give your "HONEST" Review on that. Too many RU-vidRS get their stuff for free so when they Review the product It's just like watching a Damn commercial. They're never honest, even when they say "NO FLUFF!" And it's pretty obvious that they're being compensated. You probably know which RU-vidr I'm talking about. There are only a handful that do Honest Reviewers and those are the ones worth watching , in my opinion. Thanks again.
Thanks for a good video. I have a YH and it wa great 3 yrs ago but now the GX CS3 -I is fantastic and after 1 year I have nothing but praise. Maint thing I did was add another inline water/oil filter to help remove more moisture with each charge for my rifles. Buy on Amazon and get a 3 yr warranty for I believe $59. Totally worth it, just in case.
Ordered this compressor earlier. I could handle filling my discovery and my custom build tube with a handpump, but when I bought a gauntlet like you have in the video and filled it with my handpump a couple times, the decision was made, I needed a compressor 🤣
My right shoulder has been with tendinithis and pain for the last 3 weeks after I inflated my FX Crown from 150 to 250BAR. Tried to go here in Bogota to fill my 3Lt scuba tank. And after losing 4 hours into the traffic I connected the tank to the rifle and only was able to fill it to 230 bar. Decisión is made. I was prone for the YongHeng but after reading about that explosion into the comments and seeing the spares availability for this one I am more confident on this purchase. Thanks.

Nice review. Ditching my yong heng for most use thanks to hydraulic oil and super wet air... Plus water cooled is a pain for anything but at home operations or needing to drag around a generator.
My yong heng exploded on me about 5 minutes in on the 4th or 5th use. I wouldn't touch one with a 20' pole ever again. I had a 5gallon bucket of water pumping, proper hydraulic fluid level and all. Ended up with 20 staples in my knee that night. The cast side cover is what failed. Still have hydraulic fluid stains on my shop floor to remind me not to buy a dirt cheap hpa compressor ever again
Got mine in February and fill a Umarex Origin and DAR GEN II. The DAR fills to 3000 PSI and the Origin to 3500. After six months of use it started making an awful clacking noise at 3000 PSI . Yesterday I removed the cowling and found the plastic threaded plug under the cylinder. I poured about a thimble of pure silicone oil in it. I then aired my Origin to 3500 PSI no rattling. Mine is one of the new ones that does not come with grease or oil. It is supposed to be "oiless". Something has to lube the parts in the crankcase. I'm going call it good for now and not worry with the warranty. Fingers crossed.
I also love this compressor one thing to note always have bleeder valve open when starting the compressor once it’s running then close bleeder this will lengthen the life of your compressor thanks for video
I bought a Benjamin Traveler and that was a big mistake. Rarely used, yet only after a year of owning it, now it's not charging anymore. For example, my gun is still at 3000 PSI and its max is 4250 PSI (Air Venturi Avenger - 4250 PSI max). Set the Auto Shut-off needle to 4250 PSI and push START. The charger would stop anywhere between 1500 PSI and 3500 PSI and wouldn't go past that. I can relieve the bleed valve and restart it, only to do the same again. When I first bought it, half of the time, it wouldn't charge. I thought it was too new and allow time to let it break in. WRONG! Now, it's completely useless. I do the normal maintenance (oil, drain the condensation moisture, etc, etc...) It's as good as dead now. Won't even charge my two airguns now. A piece of crap, I'd call it. Your review gives me an idea of what my next PCP airgun air compressor will be. Thanks!
I bought a benjamin recharge has a water tank on it it fills my fx marvick 3600 cc tank on the gun in 3min. My compressor cost me 1550 very well made glad I brought.
I bought a New Warrior type similar to the Yong Heng. At 170bar It went bang & frightened me to death! I put a new safety washer in & it worked but pressure gauge was stuck & it is leaking some where,-No help from Amazon seller who said its out of warranty. So I bought the GX one shown here,on Ebay, £350 & its so much better,-pumped up my 3 guns with no problems.-no water tanks & oil to worry about. I'm wondering if we still need those external inline water filters?
I nearly bought a young Heng, but heard a lot of problems about them. I would recommend using one, but make sure it's high quality - some of them can't take the high pressure and explode..

It should get you there! I would also recommend checking out my video on the CS4 - it's a much better pump for not too much more. Significantly quieter, and able to run for hours at a time. (So it can fill tanks)
Hi...new subscriber here... Great review you got there.. Just wanna ask if theres any thing you need to do before using this compressor the first time... New to PCP air guns, but now I am in the market for a compressor. I will be ordering this unit. One question is there an inline filter to reduce water/oil from entering the rifle?

That's great to hear that they took care of you I have the same compressor and it blew up and I've been trying to deal with China for months and could get nowhere I did not buy it off Amazon I bought mine off of eBay and have that had absolutely no help I actually had to send it to a guy that's fixing it for me in Arizona because the over in China where they made it they don't care about you when the compressor works good it works great but it's hard for me the recommend a product like this when it comes out of China and they will not stand behind their product

What do you think the compressor is worth the price? Is it a buy recommendation from you? What are the advantages and disadvantages of this compressor?
Make sure the bleed valve is loose when you push start, then tighten it once the pump is running- I believe this reduces the strain on the pump, and increases longevity.
By safety pin do you mean the pressure release bolt? If so, does your safety pin end in a point, or a little indent that holds a ball? If it's a little indent it's possible the ball fell out. This happened to me, I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me a replacement. If it's the pressure safety release, then you probably built too much pressure at some point and burst the disc. It's an easy fix just get a new disc and swap it out.
Yes, just let it rest like the manual directs. (It can't run continuously for long periods of time). Also, I don't believe this is rated for breathable air.
You know I'm glad to see that you have had luck with that little compressor I guess buying one off of eBay was not the right way to go that's where I got mine and it when it blew up I could get nobody to help me with this I tried to get ahold of the company that made it and they blew me off as well and would do nothing for me so I had to end up sending it to a guy in Arizona that work works on these he'd actually an employee and airguns Arizona and I live in Michigan and he's fixing it for me now so I guess if you get it from Amazon you're in good shape if you buy it off of eBay you're not in good shape I know I would not recommend anybody buying this all by Amazon because you will get no help with this and I am glad I found the guy his name is Todd and Arizona that work on these or I would have had to throw it in the garbage because the company will not stand behind it that makes it and eBay will not either
No they wanted nothing to do with it came out of China and they threw me under the bus I sent it to a guy in Arizona and he fixed it for me but he didn't sell it to me China just wants your money and then throw you under the bus

@@Themightymooseoutdoor87 thanks i managed to use a stainless steel ball from a ball bearing that i broke up.. it was about 4.5mm - the screw with the pointed edge is a better option though. Both work fine
I bought one 2 years ago, he stopped to function properly since 2 month despites I didnt use it often. It still turn on and it make a normal noise but I can't fill anything, like there would be a major leak, I tried to detect the location of that leak with soap but I was unable to find it 😔
That is strange. I wonder if the hose on the inside came off, or an oring came loose. I'd reach out to support, and if you don't get any info pop the case off and look inside.
@@Themightymooseoutdoor87 Thx you for your reply 👍 that's very kind from you 👍 first of all, Im French, my English sound somehow rusty 🤗 Also, back to the topic, yes you are certainly right, it is clearly a leak 👍 I cleaned and tested for leak detection in the upper part but no lek detected so probably the main hose is "disconnected" or the junction is leaky 🤗 Unfortunately that is in the deep inside area 😅 it require a full disassembly to access the stuff 😅 I am not bad in maintenance operation, my job is inventor in chemistry, but I better will try it with my son who is electromecanic engineer because high pressure is somehow touchy 😅 in the meantime I will buy another compressor 🤗 Anyway thx u very much again for ur support and if i found the problem i will write the solution here 👍👍 Wish u a nice day 🤗

I don't have a specific one I've ever reviewed, I'd just search "inline air filter for PCP compressor" on Amazon and get one that has good reviews and is good quality. Don't cheap out on a filter, they take high pressure and you don't want them exploding
had bad luck with that unit, quality control lacking. I could not plug in the 120v power cord in to the ac to dc adapter, No way they could of tested this.
I've used lots of compressors in my day, on construction sites, airguns, paintball, etc. I've never found one that isn't noisy. This is quieter than my construction compressor. If you ever find a silent compressor I'd be interested to hear about it!
You can, but you'd have to give it breaks. I would recommend the CS4 (amzn.to/3RC9r9s) or even better the CS4-I amzn.to/3xgMx0E Either of these will fill even larger tanks without issues
