I haven’t tried, or ever really used live cropping.. so no idea. This hack really should only change the picture profile though, so that’s pretty interesting.
Nico Perez Once you saved the CineD under C, then you need to choose "restore" while sill connected to the wifi, Or another workaround is to reset setting under camera menu, but make sure to choose DO NOT reset custom settings. Once you done this you should get all your default properties back and still retain CineD under C mode.
Great video! Does this hack still work? I dont have windows 10 pro so I don't think I can connect my cam. When I click on the connect/handshake links I get a message that it can't find the web page
Just done this on my GX80, which annoyingly made me realise that this camera only has 3 user profiles C1-C3 which much share video and stills. So putting Cine V and D on C1 and C2 only leaves me with 1 free for stills. Not great. I'd have liked more tbh or at least C1-3 for stills and C1-3 for video.
This is my favorite underrated channel these days. Always with good things and high production standards. I hope it will not be underrated for long though. ( ->like)
This works on the ZS110/ZS100/TZ100/TZ110 too. I have 5k LED lights in my garage/office and there 2 shades of red, blue, green, yellow, black, gray, wood, and concrete from my chair. I think that Cinelike-V with -3,-3,-3,-5 and -2/3EV looks the most accurate, colors and the luminance. I'm using an LG 4k monitor in Cinema mode for comparison.
I have a gx80 with custom video with cine d. When i have the ibis on, the ibis doesn't work well... I have more steady effect if i disable it... Ahah with movie standard mode the ibis work normally. I think that it was the firmware 1.2...but with 1.3 the bug isn't fixed...
me too! the first time i tried it said the connection failed (on the camera) and after that that same message "ok, remote, encrypted" on the PC screen. Did you find a solution?
Hy, Do you know if this model got HDMI LIVE mode and keep sending video signal trough the HDMI out put during filming ? ( My DMC-FZ300 LUMIX shutdown the monitor and give me a nice black window !!! ) PS : Same limitation on GH7 !! Thanks...
Hello, is it better to avoid cinelike d when shooting a considerably desaturated scene? Imagine late, late autumn. GX85 Is my only camera at the moment.

Hello just finish doing this but have 1 problem Mu shutter speed is always on auto when I change to C (either 1,2 or 3) Is there a way to manually change the shutter speed ?
RAW photos called raw for a good reason, because it is literally raw, a big pile of information intead of something final like JPG, with raw you can do whatever you want in post process. The videos in GX85 are technically a fast series of JPG files that's why you need Cine profiles, but high-end cameras these days are already having RAW video option too.
@@TommyCallaway However as Robert said, its just some HTML text. You need to copy and past this into a Text Document and then save it as a HTML file. When you then double coick on the file you just saves, you will get what Tom is talking about. This, TOM, is not covered in your vid
Ok I may be dumb...but when I try to connect on my MacBook pro...since i am connecting to my camera, it tells me I am not connected to the internet anymore because it doesn't have an internet connection. Also, what Wi-fi setting are you using? I see remote shooting and view, Playback on TV, Send Images While Recording and Send Images Stored in the Camera. Help!
Hmm...that is what I did , but it wouldn't connect to the internet, since the computer was trying to connect to the camera wi-fi, which doesn't have it's own internet connection.
Any one else come across the problem of losing the standard/ vivid etc settings? I ahve saved the Cinelike D to C3, but when I go to Shooting Modes, its just a yellow box, unable to change it to any of the standard modes. Does that make sense? Any ideas?
I use a desktop without a Wifi interface. Is it possible to connect the GX85 to my Wifi router, and then connect to the camera from the desktop via wired LAN ?
Maybe they fixed it but it doesn't work at the moment for me, the handshake can't give me the acces to my GX80 via computer or smartphone...i'm so sad !
Hey Tommy, many thanks for the thorough explanation. I have the Cinelike D/V profile installed in my GX85 in C mode, when I switch to Manual Movie mode i found the cinelike profile is not available in this mode, which means, i can't use cinelike profile in manual movie mode. Did I miss anything or is it simply not possible to use Cinelike profile in Manual Movie mode? Thanks!
i THINK you have to have manual movie mode set up BEFORE you do the change. at least that is my understanding from reading and watching other vids. good luck. thumbs up.
Ok i understand, it is because i bought v-log for my gh5 but it was a bad unit so i recieved a new one but without v-log so i asked panasonic for it and they told me they can't help me. anyways keep up the good work :)
Set your camera to Manual. Then enable the hack. Then save it as one of your custom profiles. Then when you open C and load the custom profile, it will be all manual. The C modes are a little weird.
Tommy Callaway I tried installing this, I followed every step. It works fine for me however I can't control my ISO, I think it's set to auto? How can I maually change my ISO in C mode using this hack? TIA
Thx... well i had planned on buying the GX850 for crazy cheap, hence my asking today. Don't wanna get stuck down the road ya know. Found very little info about GX850 mods despite it being so close to its cousin the GX85.
Thank you Tommy. Please bear with me as I'm new to these Custom Mode. So when you shoot video and want to use Cinelike D, V or Standard you turn the top dial to "C" then pick C1, C2 or C3? Or you turn the dial to"Movie" mode then pick C1,2 or3.
hi there. the IP address in the hack file should be changed according to my network? camera doesn't seem to be able to connect to my computer with the .54.1 address I don't know if this should be changed.
the computer see and connects to the wifi network of the camera but the camera is always on "please connect to the following..." even though I connected via the computer - this is probably due to the fact it's via the computer as if I connect via smartphone it gets out of this mode.... anyway, I cannot do handshake or connect via the html file as it doesn't finish the first step.... it doesn't do anything. help will be appreciated.
Woah, could you tell me what is your opinion on V-LOG on Panasonic G85, could it be added? Is panasonic not adding it so they can sell GH5? Could it be created or copied from GH4 and 5 ones? Thanks
Yeah, in GH4 was added later right? I want V-LOG on G85 really badly. I hope panasonic is not delivering because of profit. This kind of policy made me turn my back on Sony.
