GYMNASTICS OLYMPIC TEAM PREDICTIONS PARIS 2024 + POTENTIAL SCORES 

A lot of people are sleeping on Jade which is surprising to me especially considering literally no one has a cheng besides Simone (and don’t say skye does) bc team USA typically likes to come out strong in the vault rotation

If this actually is the team, it would be the most medal-stacked team the world has seen. Together they have 42 world medals and 14 Olympic medals. 3 AA Olympic Champions and 4/5 are worlds AA medalists 1 vault olympic and worlds champion, and another worlds vault champion. 3 worlds unever bars medalists. a 4 times world champion and 2 time olympic medalist on beam, with 3 other girls who have also made worlds and olympic finals on beam. 2 Floor Olympic champions, including an 6 times world champion on floor, and also 2 silver medalists on floor as well. I don't think there's ever been a team so well decorated in the history of the sport. Just the 3 AA Olympic champions alone is extremely impressive.

People just overlooking the fact that Jade is throwing perfect chusos in college and just posted a moors training vid that looked extremely solid. Everyone knows she's the queen of good pacing.

My dream team yes! But I dont know if jade and gabby are gonna make it😢 I really like jade and gabby. I'll be upset if Joscline will make the team because I think they chose her because of the wrong reasons...

I generally agree with the formula of 3 AAers and 1 VT/FX and 1 UB/BB, but also think 4 AAers and an event specialist is possible/probable. I think Simone is obviously a lock if she's healthy, and Shi is as close to secure as you can probably get. I think Gabby has too much to overcome in a very short period of time to make it to the end. There are quite a few possibilities for the potential 3rd or 4th AA spot, and I'm not at all ruling out Suni as that possibility either - we've seen how quickly she can get it together on VT/FX towards crunch time when it matters. I think Jade's inclusion really depends on what the rest of the team looks like. If she gets on the team, it would be for VT only. Even if she can muster a high 6 D score on FX, she will not score higher than a routine with a high 5 D score. I know the selection committee will probably want her to demonstrate a consistent AA performance at Trials, but if I were her I'd be putting more energy on making sure her Cheng and Amanar are in exceptional form. Of course, at the end of the day it'll probably come down to who is actually healthy by the end of trials, lol.

Not convinced Gabby or Sunni will make the team. I hope Jade makes the team, and think its possible if she stays healthy. I do think Simone and Shilease will be on that team. The other two spots are up for grabs, as they should be.

Kayla and Wong would be more likely ..Dont kill me here , but - Not sure why some people think Gabby is going to make the team just because she has and was all around champ. That doesn't count for anything when it's 10 years later . Im curious to see her at classics.

This is also my dream team! it will be epic to have 3 all around gold medalist in the same team. Simone and Shilese are locks, but the others no idea ... Suni is unclear because of her kidney condition, Jade is unclear because she has been focusing on collage and we dont know where she is (i wish she took a year off) and Gabby is unclear because we have seen very little from her.

All I know is Leanne Wong will make that Olympic team and I will not be surprised!

I'd be so happy for 43.9 vault and 44.3 bars rotations! My priority is to stack vault, bars >> stay on beam > floor (Shi, Jade, Simone).

I think you nailed this team. I really like resting simone on bars like I always thought making her do all 4 events was so unfair and especially bad for her mental going into beam. The one thing I’ll say is I think Gabby is really going to surprise us on floor and I wouldn’t be surprised if they have her compete floor instead of shi and have shi compete vault instead of Gabby

I think this an amazing prediction, a lot are underestimating jade, true that she lost her difficulty but she is still better than joscelyn, but I think whoever will do better between Skye and Gabby will finally make the team, the rest I totally agree

jade is only doing college gymnastics and she wasn’t consistent last year… i mean, with suni, simone, gabby and shilese SHE is the obvious choice due to her cheng scoring consistently 14.6-14.8 and believe me, with her full difficulty, even with artistry deductions, she can score 14-14.5 on floor , no one but simone ( in the us)could reach that. would be gold for team and maybe bronze on VT and FX for carey, but we have to see if she’s consistent

I think this is a great prediction. I know Suni didn’t have a great Winter Cup, but I wouldn’t count her out just because of that. She has shown time and again that she can deliver internationally under pressure. And if she successfully competes that full twisting jaeger + pak + maloney + bhardwaj combo that she recently posted, I think that really raises her chances. I really hope Gabby is able to deliver as well, because at her best, she is incredible. If she isn’t able to get consistency before trials, however, I see Jordan taking her place. My prediction is: Vault: (Gabby/Jordan), Shilese, Jade, Simone Bars: (Simone), Gabby/Jordan, Shilese, Suni Beam: (Gabby/Jordan), Shilese, Suni, Simone Floor: (Shilese), Gabby/Jordan, Jade, Simone

I wish the team can have suni, jade, trinity, shilese, leanne and kayla. Of course, i know this is not possible but they are my fav. Just dont put roberson because as much she has a very likeable personality, her form is not.

Hard pass on Douglas, she is nowhere near ready. Blakely and Wong are more likely than Lee.

We will be lucky if they choose even one specialist for the team, so this is highly unrealistic. They will probably choose the top 4 AA from Championships and Trials, 1 person specialist that they like, name one more AA and specialist as a traveling alt, At this point Jade is a sometimes VT specialist, (beat by both Joscelyn and Skye at nationals on VT last year), Suni and Gabby are both maybe UB/BB specialists we have yet to confirm in any recent competition. Hate to say it but Suni and Jade are not well liked by USAG and that matters when the selection criteria is so subjective. At best, Suni and Gabby might make it as traveling alts for the media of it.

I don’t think Shi can medal on beam. I think that’s her weak spot.

Simone and Shilese are the only ones who most likely will make it. Gabby and Sunisa - possible. Carey - probably not. I'm leaning toward Sky and Joscelyn

I'll be surprised to see suni and gabby on the same team, jade also seems far fetched with her fx scores. More likely a simone, shi, kayla, joscelyn or skye, and either suni or gabby or leanne.

I love Jade but she just not ready and her form will keep her off the team. Even though she has a Chang it’s sloppy and others can do an easier vault and score more. Also Suni is still questionable but of any of the others still working on coming back Suni is the best options…..I just don’t see Suni, Jade, and Gabby only 1 will make the team. I think it will be Suni if any of them…..why she basically fills the same holes as the other. Reason…they fill the same holes. Shilese also fills these gaps. I think Simone and Shilese are for sure on the team unless they have injuries…..the other 3 will be selected to fill the holes.

Your choices leave a lot to the imagination. Both Suní and Gabby are inconsistent with their new skills and have been untested. Gabby has yet to even do any competitions. You got Simone correct and Shilese, but you’ve forgotten a lot gymnasts that are already consistent, such as Kayla DiCello. I’d look at those more than who you’d like to see and be realistic. I love Gabby but I haven’t seen anything from her that would tell me she’s ready for Paris.

Jocelyn is an extremely bad choice. On her best days her scores are lower than many elite gymnasts. As a mother, my children’s health comes first. Suni who I adore is not healthy with kidney disease. For crying out loud, focus on her health and stay out of the gym. Gabby is a no for me. She has the worst coach ever. Shilese does skills that are banned on floor and beam. That needs to stop.

This is the ABSOLUTE DREAM TEAM here but aside from Simone and Shilese, everybody else that you have on here is questionable. If Jade is serious about making the US team then she is in because she will definitely be showing up with her Cheng and Amanar and a floor routine that will at least garner her high 13's to 14+ on floor. Suni and Gabby are the two BIGGER IFS for me. If Gabby can come with a Cheng or with an Amanar, high 14s to 15 on bars and decent beam and floor then I think she will make the team and Suni if healthy with her upgraded bars and beam routine, which is only second to Simone, she will make the team. USAG will ONLY leave Suni off if she CLEARLY shows that she is not well in my opinion. I don't think they will want it be said that they left the REIGNING OLYMPIC AA champion home for any other reason than that.

I would just like at least one asian, suni, kayla or leanne don’t really care who but at least one of them
