Blaming an horrifically abused young woman for not escaping when trying to escape is the most dangerous time for a victim is really gross of you. You think her mother was just going to let her go? Her mother would have killed her. Grow up. Abuse victims aren't always innocent angels. We are all human and victims have their own faults but not even compared to the real abusers.
Her life has been in the news since she was a child. I would assume she's had plenty of media training over those years. The first time I'd seen her was on Oprah after her and her mother received a house from Habitat for Humanity.

I'm extremely proud of Gypsy Rose because of the fact that she was a victim of her mother her mother put her through disabilitating surgeries and medication she didn't need she tortured her and this poor girl to come through all of that and have such a strong fortitude to try to reach out and help other children who may be suffering at the hands of their mother who is suffering from Munchausen is much to be appreciated and applauded
She talked her ex into helping her murder her mother, and now hasn’t even the time to address how she feels about him, she’s on the road to wealth so he is not relevant to her now, he did what she wanted,and he’s paying the price. She was smart enough not to do the deed herself, but if I was her new husband I’d want eyes in the back of my head!! 🤔😱
Gypsy was treated badly absolutely 💯, BUT….. there was ways that she could’ve avoided prison, and telling the police would have been a start!! She took advantage of a mentally disabled Person, she got 8 yrs and he got life,and the fact that she had sex with him after the deed was done is nothing to be proud of!! She doesn’t even have anything to say about him now, just wants to enjoy the notoriety she has and the money that is no doubt coming her way!! There is something very unsavoury about this whole situation, and it will be interesting to see how this Celebrity thing works out for her. I think there will be a LOT more to come from this “Lady!”
To be honest…I watch the entire series of The Act last night. I also listened to a few interviews. She was obviously an abused child, HOWEVER, she learned how to manipulate and con people from her mother. I think it is sad that the young man is serving life without parole. He clearly is disturbed and needs help, not prison.
She’s always had her voice. She was all over the Internet, trolling for a boyfriend. She found one that would murder her mother, oh, and he also wanted to have sex with the dead mother’s body! Gypsy was in the room when it happened. She’s sick. And she says she’s too busy to get a job. It should be mandatory probation, she stays off social media and has a job. All of this hype, glamorizing the brutal stabbing of her mother that she’s about to make millions off of. It’s just disgusting.
I watched the documentary many months ago before she even got out of prison. Maybe it was on true crime or dateline. But it showed clips of her mom, speaking and her speaking about the murder, and how her boyfriend wanted to have sex with the mother’s dead body… It was truly grueling. And then, after her boyfriend stab her mother multiple times, while the mother screamed out for gypsies help, gypsy, got on social media soon after, and was giggling.. the whole thing was crazy. @@Fate862 No she didn't. She made sure, even if it wasn't true which it probably isn't, to let everyone know she convinced him to do it so this way he has a chance of getting out. So now what? But also realize he was a convicted sex offender so is he so innocent now?
I think killing someone when you can prove that they were abusing you in a lethal way, after you've tried to get away or get help, should not be prosecuted
Tbh i dont understand how a CHILD that was systematically abused and daily pushed to the brink of death can be convicted for murder and not dismissed for selfdefense. I mean... she was held against her will and tortured and she was supposed to think twice about killing her captor? Her mother could ve killed her anyday had she not acted. The same for the boyfriend. He saved her from a monstruos agressor and he gets lifetime? The same as any other murderer?
I don't understand the hate towards her. She admits she made a mistake, went to jail and served her sentence. She is just trying to use all the attention she got in a positive way which I think it's the best thing she can do

Nope, the meds, surgeries, stress, and abuse in general that her mother put yer through, including puberty blockers resulted in Puberphonia, which numerous doctors confirmed. She also had her salivary glands removed against her will, which obviously contributes to speech as well.

Honestly her mother tortured her for years. I dont condone murder but as someone who has dealt with cases of child abuse and parental mental health issues, I understand her position. Im glad she is using this experience to do better and she looks so happy, healthy and just grateful.

I don't think he should be out either,@@Temekacarter. As he's severely autistic and has mental health problems, he's really vulnerable, and could have someone else manipulate him in the same way. I don't think he should be in prison for life, but in a mental health facility having intensive therapy.

I know a lady who has her grandson and she has this. The 4 months i went back to NC and stayed in the house in front of her, her grandson was "sick" the entire 4 months straight when there was nothing wrong with him. She would take him to the hospital literally almost daily and had him on so much medicine it was insane. He was only 2 and wasnt allowed to even get dirty outside or she would rush him inside immediately and wash him. The mom of the boy was a drug addict but she even knew it was wrong. Its crazy.
Something that keeps occurring to me as I see all the spotlight on her and people questioning it, is that she is no stranger to the spotlight, at least on a smaller scale. Her mom had her at events and used her to get attention, but in all of that she didn't have a voice. She was controlled and not allowed to tell the truth. I can't imagine what it was like sitting there all those years knowing at the very least that she could really walk. This has to be very healing for her, to finally have a voice, no one else speaking for her and suppressing her, to tell her story with her own voice, to know that people are supporting her for her own sake, not because of a lie.
I’d say the mother had her convinced/groomed that she had all those conditions and didn’t know which way was up! I’m glad now she knows she was wronged and can have a happy and truthful life!

With her newfound success and following I wonder if it will prompt other victims of parental child abuse to kill their parents. In the case of a child being horribly abused, her successful outcome seems worth the consequences of her crime.
Oh man, I feel that. He’s not only autistic, his IQ is 82. I’m happy for her she’s out and doing well, but I didn’t like her non-answer to that question about Nick. She gave the same rehearsed non-answer on another interview. Feels really icky.
They are such a wonderful couple; both of them! I'm very happy they found each other. Before I heard her story, I had no idea that the syndrome her mother had actually existed. Her going public with this is really good to bring awareness to the masses, so that lives can be saved.

@@FaCeSaysHe is in there because of his actions which was accepting to it in the first place, carrying through with the actions by getting on the bus, going there and eventually unaliving her mother. He already had dark thoughts and fantasies about unaliving if he didn’t do it to her mother he most likely would’ve done it to someone else.

No. She did her time for her part. Having her mother killed wasn’t right, but in a way, she saved her life. Otherwise, her mother would have been the one serving time for killing her. This situation needs to be talked about and Gypsy is really who we think of when it comes to MBProxy Syndrome. I applaud her for actually being aware and awake that something was wrong when this had gone on for so many years. The problem was that she just didn’t know how to get out or was too afraid to tell anyone about it.

For the people saying she's using her situation to cash in need a wake up check and I can almost guarantee are not people who were tortured by their mother and brainwashed into thinking they were sick by their own mother. Any success or money she has made from this was long overdue was deserved more than most of the people who have money. Also her husband is so sweet. The poor guy that saved her from her mother is just known as a psycho killer now👎 I don’t care if he’s a psycho or sociopath. He literally SAVED her from that life of abuse. For being sheltered her whole life, Gypsy is very intuitive and aware. She can read the room. She was probably skilled in those areas to deal with her mother. I hope she has continued happiness..
Its so gripping because mostly victims of parents with munchasen by proxy end up dead. Gypsy got out completely wrong but sadly she saw no other way out.
The young man who she manipulated has an IQ OF 82!! She used a disabled young man who is now serving life while she served far too little time. I am heartbroken for the abuse she experienced, but this celebrity thing is disgusting. This story resonates because it’s juicy, that’s it.

An extremely manipulative lying murderer is now the voice of abuse victims... that is wonderful! Did everyone see her interrogation video where she was quick to throw her bf under the bus pretending she didn't know he was going to kill her mom after she said she doesn't know how to lie and she is 100% honest. yes she was abused but she is also a person who premeditated a murder and the next day was making videos taking about sex and brownies. She is sick.
She was trained for this her whole life. She knows how to get sympathy and all that. There are only 2 outcomes of what person you will be after abuse 1. A bigger abuser (narcissist, cult formers, emotional con artists etc) 2. Super empathic who can't hurt a thing she is def #1. No doubt. No question.
