Shout out to Craig, setup for set charging profiles is the Ah rating of the battery and not the CCA. Luckily for me I only ever use Battery support when doing diag or "easy" mode when charging, and no harm was done to any batteries during my ownership 🤣

Craig was correct. That battery is 900 CCA not Ah, it's written on top of it. It's only 110 Ah

If you go into advanced menu it will have expert mode that recovers battery I have used that mod before I have saved lots of battery advanced menu has lots of different options and features

Today one of my van's injector passed out. A piezo one... well we have to threat our machines good or else they will no give back to us :)

Are they 10m cables or 8m? Gys only recommend using and calibrating upto 2x8m 16mm cables. Calibration makes no difference in power supply mode. Its used to help make sure the voltage intended in other modes are correct at the clamps.

Mine are custom built by GYS for me, the recommended max length is 8m and should be observed. I'm a mobile diagnostician and frequently found myself in need of longer cables for diagnostic battery support, I use these at my own risk with no liability on the part of GYS.

@@SimplyDiagnostics That's good to know :-) thank you. I made some longer leads up but not for my 120.12 yet. I have to say the trolley is pretty awesome too. Stuck one of my units on a trolley, one of the best things I did!

Did that battery on the van recover with easy charge cycle on gys battery support and charger but did it save you money on buying new battery

Not satisfactorily, it would have done the job but being stranded with all my gear wasn't an option. It was replaced under warranty.

Shouldn’t the battery test have been done at 900 amps? The midtronics would have thrown that test out out if tested at 110a and came back with over 300 amps. Watched it back again, now get you put 110 in to prove a point.

Great video mate, I am going to buy one of these but was wondering if I am doing the likes of rear pads on an electronic handbrake or a lengthy ignition on job, do I use the easy charge to maintain the battery power or is there another mode for this ? Thank you

You would use battery support mode, keeps it a constant voltage 👍
