7:40 OMG that Monster sounds amazing. looks like it really performs better in the upper RPMs above 6600 RPM based on the dyno sheet you showed at the end 👍😀
as much as I love the sound and pf gains of that monster system; having it all at the upper end of the powerband doesn't seem like the best choice for a mostly woods/trail machine...unless I drop a tooth and force it to be there a bit more w/o needing to be going a million mph lol. Do you think that's a better call than trying to find a brand that bumps things up earlier in the revs? thank you!
Dyno ran in 5th gear? If so how did you by pass the speed limiter that kills power around 6,500 rpms? My assumption is the clutch switch. Good video, love hard data that can be used for future mods. Looks like the gytr would be good for someone who was not going to replace the stock cam.
Awsome video. I just got the big 3 kit from monster with pc5. Cant wait to get it on. Hey what rear grab bar is that. Iv been looking for something like that but cnt seem to find anything that is made for the 15-18 700's
How does the Monster exhaust compare to the Pro Circuit T 4 exhaust and is it louder than the Monster exhaust and more HP than the Pro Circuit exhaust or Monster's dual exhaust? I know Pro Circuit has a good racing history and makes a good product. I never had a Monster exhaust or used one. I would like to see the exhaust companies Nickleplate their exhaust instead of the raw finish on the header pipe. I like the look of the Nickleplated look, looks better. I like the polished look better on older Monster exhausts better. I'm thinking of getting the Pro Circuit Dual exhaust T 6 if it is like the Pro Circuit T 4 exhausts because the single exhaust is louder. Does the Pro Circuit exhausts single or dual exhausts make more HP than the Monster exhausts? I'm wondering what exhaust company makes the most HP and Torque? It does not look like Pro Circuit does not make a dual exhaust that is loud.
Mitch makes great exhausts over at Pro Circuit...he specializes in 250 and 450 motocross/ super Ross bikes... not quads ..the quality of ALL his pipes are great...but if you want the best for making HP then you are seeing it on this vid. Monster, Rossier, Empire and Dasa are the ones that 99.9% of 700 owners and builders state make the bigger numbers. Some others are real close to these too...but Monster is one of THEE best to make big HP.
@@kevinvandusen7094My friend was the manager at Pro Circuit and he and Mitch are good friends. This is my friend's company. Bundy Built Racing. He does quads too and the drag bike engines etc. He likes to make things go fast. Somewhere he has some videos at his shop being interviewed. At his shop, they are not afraid to go big with the boring engines MUCH bigger. His name is Bundy is which everyone in racing calls him. I can't remember the site but I remember seeing different big bore kits for the 700 R Raptor and I thought the site I was on had a 900cc big bore kit? I have seen on this site which I forgot the name of had a drag pipe and with the big bore kit they had given the bike 180 HP then they had a turbo kit along with their big bore kit that gave the bike 200 plus HP. I was hoping for the 300 plus HP range. Whether it was true or not there was a video of quads with 500 HP and 600 HP but I think they had street bike engines. I have not seen the video of these quads because the video may have been taken down. There is a guy on RU-vid that has 210 HP in his 700 R Raptor.. I want to what the most HP I can get out of this quad. My friend's shop Bundy Built Racing gets crazy HP numbers out of engines with very high compression. Most companies are afraid to dare go where he goes with the compression Ratio. When he was at a midget sprint car race it was an invite only and the guys that invited him asked what are you running for an engine Bundy said a Yamaha 450cc engine. The guy replied I don't think you will beat us we are running KTM 500CC engines. I asked Bundy what the HP the KTM engines had he said 108 HP and he had only 70 HP at the time and his engines were MUCH faster with only 70 HP then later pushed the engine to 90 HP. It sounds like the Monster exhaust is the way to go. Thank You! for the help. bundybuilt.com/
