"Cause at a young age I was molded into the religion/I relied on and got caught up in superstition. Scared to split poles duck black cats/once in a while threw salt over my back/. But with knowledge of self/from off the shelf/made things seem complicated now small like elfs." So sublime smh

The song is about going beyond believing in ghosts, monsters, witches, and spirits to know and love yourself. You are energy (mathematics) therefore God and shouldn't kneel to or submit to power outside of yourself. ❤️🖤💚👐🏿👐🏿👐🏿

When it comes to songs it is about the beat just as much as the lyrics. Hip-hop started with the dj playing the music a certain way to be hip-hop. The mc came to make it whole and move the crowd. This is music, not a poetry hearing. Some people try to say lyrics first, but it's the beats that made albums classics. The producers put in much work like the mc's to make those beats bang, and Rza is a legend in that part. I've heard songs where the beat was plain but the mc was so good the rhymes took the song up. I also seen where the beat carried the song. Both are equally important. I think when it's only about lyrics is when you are just judging the mc for his ability. Sometimes then you might have a song where the beat isn't all there but you have to put that aside to hear what the mc does on that song if he kills the mic. This is probably my favorite song on this album.
