Thank u so much I have clown loaches and apparently I said it’s a 78. It was my older than that and they have it right now because I added some new fish and I think they were just overstimulated and I returned the fish because I love my clown loaches more and I’ve had them for about seven years and I was trying to figure out how to use this because the heater never came with instructions. I got the same brand heater only it’s a 500w. I love the heater itself but no matter what I do I cannot hide the orange. I spend a lot of time scaping my tank to make it look pristine. But. I matter what I do, the orange remains obvious. I wish they would have given this more thought. It’s a homerun that hits the wall on the way out.
I got one of those new Hygger quartz heaters. I really like the way it keeps the tank at my set temperature without all the constant on and off. Very reasonable on price. Would be a good gift for fish keepers. 👍
@@anoxicfiltrationplenums it has been in use for about three to four months now. Appears to be made better than those high dollar ones I have bought. I’ll keep you posted. I do like the digital temperature controller on the outside of the tank. Easy to keep eyes on the temperature.
great review, orange of course is just dumb to put on any in the tank accessories. Hope your hygger will last...I went through 2 of a hygger heaters 550W that looks somewhat similar...first one died, received replacement and the second died as well...moved on back to eheim and a inkbird thermostat
Thanks for the update. I really appreciate it. I'll see how long this one will last because it will be doing extra duty trying to keep the tank temperature stable as the winter progresses.
I went on a heater search after this video. Now as far as how this one looks, I can agree don't like it. Of course, I was looking at it on Amazon and they throw everything including the kitchen sink at you. So I was looking for something like this one and tripped over this one, Kaiyopop Aquarium Heater. Now it's rather sexy for a heater and I like the look and the controller. Back in the "old days" when I was really into the hobby the Visi-Therm was in my opinion the Sexiest heater out there, it was stupid expensive for back then but I had not one but two 200w heaters in my 55. One in each back corner. My theory was if one goes down the other can do enough to save the day.
I talk to the rep about it and maybe they will do something about it. Let's face facts, that one a little color difference could make you lose sales that otherwise the heater has been completely redone with great technology. The heater will even shut off if the water gets too low or if it overheats there's alarms on it.
it looks a nice heater but i prefer the eheim jager heaters there relieable n there not dear theyv a very very small precentage of bad failars 0.2% in the amazon reveiws a 150 watt eheim heater will heat upto a 300 littre tank and the 300watt heater a 1000 littre tank so very cheap costs to run aswell i recently when and bought a fancy heater the aquamedic titanium heater a 100 watt one online it says it heats upto a 250 littre tank but on the box says upto 150littres i had it in a 90littre tank and it was on non stop the heat stayed the same for hours it widnt go up nor down so it was a bit of a disapointment dont get me wrong there known to outlast an eheims but i shud think so as there twice the price
