Not true. The Suns, Raptors, Wolves among other all wanted him. Minnesota actually made a move trading down in the 2nd round to put them in position right infront of the Lakers to take him. People are making way too much on his Stat line without understanding what he delt with and went through last year with his health. Had his agent not been working for the Lakers instead of his client he would have gone at 53 to the Wolves, which would have been a perfect fit for him. Backup able to come on slow develop at his own pace and be mentored by Mike Conely. Instead he ends up in LA with instant pressure, expectations and zero in veteran help at his position to me tor him. Not to mention an upstart head coach with zero coaching experience at any level.
