I am an International Business Law masters student who is about to embark on writing my dissertation and my topic is around the AfCFTA. I have followed with particular interest most events about AfCFTA. Africa is on the verge of economic growth that has never been associated with her before. Our continent has for innumerable years been looked down upon, that nothing good can ever come out of Africa. His Excellency Mene has given that example in his presentation. But it time that we change the narrative. Dr Mene has just filled me with so much hope. Our founding fathers did their part, they visualised the idea of having our very own free trade area. They even laid a foundation. Now we are here, the AfCFTA. Thanks Dr Mene for making me see how possible it for us to grow economically and claim our long over due position among highly competitiveness in the global economy . Dr Mene is something else. 😍
