As I mentioned in the Deathscythe episode, Gundam Wing comic bom bom was NOT considered as canon so I will skip those variants, they have nothing to talk about anyway lol I know there will be people who asks “where is Serpents?”, I covered it in the Leo episode already, so you fill that gap up by watching my Leo’s episode. I remember having a date over and she thought my assembled Gundam Wing collection was cute. Her favorite at first glance was the original Heavyarms lol
@@zethythonix There are a lot of weapons (or weapon prototypes that were cancelled) in the real world that are far more unrealistic. You should check that.
I wish they'd continue the anime specially the Frozen Teardrop arc. G Wing is besically one of the best G series and the way they use the theme songs are hair raising.
I always feel like this one, despite being cool, is a walking bomb that could go off in a catastrophie with a single wrong shot. Imagine the sheer amount of ammo exploding through chain reaction.
I'm sure the good doctors figured out how to prevent ammo cook-off....that and when in the history of guns have you ever heard a multi-barrel machine gun burning out their barrels....????
Heavyarms: Lotta Dakka. Heavyarms EW: More Dakka. Heavyarms Kai: Even MORE Dakka! Heavyarms Kai EW: _EVEN MORE DAKKA!_ Prometheus: *_ALL OF THE DAKKA!!_*
This 5 gundams move as one unit with different function each, the pilot itself capable to do operation without their machine is beyond awesome thanks for the video btw
I'm still waiting for bandI To make the rest of the Second gen gundam's gundams, Because all we currently have is snow white, And I'm also waiting for them to finish the Manga. plus a Wolf like version of ds Would be amazing, Because ultron EW Might be my favorite unit from theMight be my favorite unit From the G o l Manga and movie But a unit named after loki's Wolf This is pretty ridiculously awesome And because I don't have A DS or a Gaia gundam I cannot currently make my own HG Version of it, Plus there is not enough artwork For me to build one from scratch
Seriously didn't know that Heavyarms main weapon was a beam gatling. Thought it was just another gun with bullets.. Makes sense I guess otherwise where would Heavyarms keep the ammo. Only took 20 years of being a fan to learn this..
remember he detacets them quickly and tey blow up you said because remember they don want the enemy too reuse gear or seen weapons they use so this is why they kill them and also remove evidence they was there in the first place i guess this is my theory i guess
love when heero ask trowa how he compensates for the arm with the heavy gatling gun, and trowa goea, i dont. i think ahead and make every move before my gundam reacts.
@@zethythonixIt was a book with all the details of the Gundams, mobile suits, ships and the main characters from GW. Stats, affiliations, weapons, flight systems.
I just can't get over the whole 'Beam Gatling' thing. On the EW version even less so. It has all the hallmarks of a regular - albeit very large caliber - Gatling gun. But hey, there's no casings so rule of cool applies and it's a beam weapon. Still tho; 'Energy tank'??
My fave is the OG TV version before things became a little complicated. My least favourite is the blue custom and the clown masks have always been such a terrible idea, especially since Trowa himself is straightforward and not at all chaotic, like the clown symbol would suggest. Additionally, the double gatlings using bullets makes no sense as there’s no room for ammo anywhere. Designwise they’re all very cool. Deathscythe and Heavyarms have always been the two fan favourites, Wing in the middle and Shenlong/Sandrock competing for the bottom. For equipment, it never made much sense to have a one and done MS, especially when the Buster rifle seemed to do a similar amount of damage by adjusting the output according to the target, Deathscythe did the same covertly, Shenlong burned everything to the ground and Sandrock had its command system to coordinate the Maganacs. Its purpose seemed to be a machine for taking out troops when things went sideways. Why the Heavyarms would be harder to use, I don’t get. It should be an exceedingly simple ammo dump machine. Something that is missing is a support unit for it, that allows it to reload everything in the field. Then the MS makes a lot more sense.
@@zethythonix Pretty much everything has internal logic, like Superman wearing his "mask" (glasses) when he's not himself, aka Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne wearing his mask when he's Batman. It's why we allow suspension of disbelief, of a pair of glasses hiding Superman's identity because it is internally consistent - Masks work in DC. One of Wing's flaws is that it doesn't always make sense, it's one of the reasons why fans talk about and discuss it, I think :D Wing is my favourite Gundam show, I collect the gunpla of those the most, in both HG and MG (and a couple of the RG's). I was super lucky to get the P-Bandai Tallgeese Flugel recently, which is my prized model! I am rewatching it again and Heavyarms has some of the most screen time of them all, although a lot of the animation is reused. It's only this time that I noticed that the internal beam saber is something Trowa puts in for Heero, for the one fight with Zechs. I thought it was always there for emergency use.
Personally it's a hard choice to choose between Wing Zero, Deathsythe, Sandrock, Heavyarms, Altron, and Tallgeese Mk3 were the very first Gundams I seen.
If I could have any Gundam in the entire Gundam universe, it would be Heavyarms! It is John Rambo and Reb Brown in mecha form! It is a minigun that walks like a man! Nothing says happiness like blasting the everlasting shit out of all opposing forces with an entire army’s worth of firepower and a beer in hand!
Next major gunpla on my bucket list is the heavyarms + igel unit + super nova. Just need the resources, lol. Still, one of my favorite units from Gundam Wing.
"Igel" is a german term, the i at the beginning is spoken like the first i in ignition or intelligence. Because german. Sorry for making things complicated XD
While rewatching this again i noticed that people still believe that the beam saber used by the Heavyarms against the Tallgeese was it's own beam saber, when in reality that's Wing Gundam's beam saber that Trowa putted inside heavyarms' left arm because it doesn't have an specific place for a beam saber 5:19.
Trowa and Heavyarms are my favorite. Their gunpla kits are really fun to build. The opening panels and gimmicks are very expressive in poses. Trowa's acrobatics make for striking dioramas and pairings!
