If you want to review a budget PCP, look at the ATI Nova Vista Liberty PCP rifle. They probably are not going to pay you for it which may be an issue for you, but if your in this for the betterment of airgunners...you will review it. Side lever cocking, 10 round rotary mag that’s the same as the Gauntlet, adjustable regulator, variable power, and keeps up with my FXs at 75 yards, and costs under 350$. What else do I have to say my man. These guns never fail and impress the hell out of me every time I pick them up! Super good gun. Reliable, accurate, adjustable, and affordable. I know the Avenger/ Liberty MK2 is coming out soon and in .25. Wow! Dreams really do come true for budget minded PCP shooters that expect every penny out of their investment. I really hope that who ever is your boss is agrees to this post and helps you put some serious competition in the hands of newbies and let them get their moneys worth. You will enjoy it as much as we have. Love what you do. You are the man. Great shooting, God Bless. The
The commander is one bad a$$ air rifle I've had mine alittle over 6 months and 30 yds and under I can pretty much shoot any pellet I want. It was nice to see a review on it.thanks man.
@@northballistics saw and held the FX Impact this week, I wasn't impressed at all. It was totally tricked out too. Unwieldy, unbalanced, delicate, no thanks. I guess if you want to bolt it to a 30 pound bench rest and shoot paper targets all day, then sit around drinking beers with the other FX shills and glitterati talking about how great the latest whatever accessories they're pushing this week, example: Saber Tactical Buttstock, then that's probably the gun for you.
@@northballistics honestly they're overrated, overhyped, overpriced and many, many airgunners are over it. The Dreamline was introduced to bring more shooters into the fold, upon viewing it, I was rather disappointed and underwhelmed, $1100 for a basic PCP that needs another $500-$1000 to be shoot able? And that barrel hanging out there with no support, screaming for a barrel band. Idk how Jon from Airgun Depot got his job with FX USA but he's managed to hypnotize many into believing FX is the end all in airguns and he's wrong. My two cents but as I said many feel exactly the same way.
Thanks man, been using some Destroyer copper *28 grains slugs on my QB chief. They curve downward unto the target. Been thinking of quitting using slugs totally but now you've given me hope.
I've been eyeing that Beaman Commander for about four months now I think that's going to be the budget PCP I get just because a million people don't have it
First State Airgun it’s a good shooter with jsb 15s and the 18s. I’m getting 38 foot pounds of muzzle energy out of it. Plus 50 usable shots on a full fill before any drop.
The fact that you can shoot slugs from these rifles has me sold! Update: Been shooting the 218 23 grain H&n slugs and man o man. Took out some doves and squirrels and paralyzed them in one shot! I would use these slugs and the JSB Hades for hunting 👌
I too am interested in the fps and what kind of gain in fpe compared to pellets. I saw that a couple of others asked pretty much the same question. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the slug review of the Beeman's!! Ben could you let us know the FPS during your tests of the slugs with the different Beeman? Thanks for the great job and hard work!!
@@deanmustard873123gr you're looking at around 765fps, the better BC will retain energy at insane ranges though. At 330yd it still has just over 12foot pounds of energy. At 660yd its still flying at 318fps carrying 5.17FPE and will take around 4.14 seconds to make the trip to target. With a huge drop 2529.14" 😂
Hi there, please can you tell me at what velocity are you shooting the .218 slugs? I have a Beeman commander, I shot the .218 30 grain and it is all over the show, I shot at a distance of 23m, so I was wondering if perhaps the target are to close. Please advice
hey man, new to the channel luv the videos come across the vid was looking at the chief for my first pcp was wondering if uve had any problems with the rifle since making this video, thanks for your time man
For the money , quality and accuracy you won’t find a better PCP than the Weihrauch HW100 ! With many manufacturers of pellets coming on board we will all have slugs that will shoot well out of most PCPs . The contact slugs make on barrel lands is pronounced and may not work on some low power springers , I will need to test them on mine . I am having good results from Nielsen Specialty Ammo in the .177 in 15.0 gr HP and 12.5 gr HP .
Hi so I have a Beeman QB78 chief and I was being an idiot and messed with the hammer spring, now its bouncing and hitting the valve more than once. I know your a busy guy and might not see this but it would help if you could give me some advice please. Thanks for the video tho
The best thing I can say to do is to try giving it a little bit more tension and seeing if that helps and then if it doesn’t just go ahead and reverse it back to giving it less tension on the spring. Anytime you make an adjustment to the hammer spring tension always count the ferns that you’re making and remember which direction you’re spending it in that way if you need to go back to where you were before you have some sort of record of where that was.
It shoots JSB Jumbo 15.89 in the low-mid 900 fps. It gets around 30-32 FPE with most pellets/slugs I've put through it. JSB Jumbos are the most accurate but these H&N .218 slugs do a nice job as well.
I'm seriously considering the Chief, especially knowing it can shoot slugs. W/o Chrono results, I wonder if the slug velocity would be enough for any hp expansion. One thing that bothers me about this rifle, is the "bolt-flip" after every shot. It is a strong, clearly visual sign of flimsiness or cheapness. I'm sure for the manufacturer it would be a simple fix, but since its intro, it has never been addressed. I believe the Chief II does the same.
Hey bud, Do you think a brake barrel is more powerful than a pcp in the same calibers. Specifically The Gamo Swarm Magnum. 22 vs Beeman Commander. 22? Fps and Flbs
Like this guy's videos but I've noticed every time people ask him questions about the videos he posed he doesn't answer anybody back but just two or three air guns that's it
Hey man sorry if I had message question of yours previously. I actually spend hours every day going through the comments and trying to reply to all of them but it’s hard when I get hundreds every day. Please be patient and I’ll try to make sure I get to yours next time
