Henry Purcell is J.S Bach of England. His piece is elegant and elaborate. I am happy with Purcell. It is brilliant rendition. Thank you for sharing such a gorgeous masterpiece.. I fell in love in King Arthur. It will be my best favorite from now on.
Parts of what he wrote have skipped the centuries and sound quite contemporary. As I have grown older, I have come to be in awe of the Baroque composers, much of their work is both sublime and sophisticated.
@@dorisbinder3137 Purcell was undoubtedly gifted. He single-handedly synthesised the French and Italian styles of Baroque music into a distinct English style. No other composer really sounds like him. Even Handel tried to imitate him in a few of his oratorios when he moved to England.
